Auricle
Auricle is a voice-first journal for capturing thoughts by speaking rather than typing. It transcribes entries and can ask AI follow-up questions informed by past entries, people and themes in the journal. Its Apple Watch app records entries and syncs them to a phone automatically; Auricle also supports voice journaling through CarPlay and works with Siri and watch face complications. The service is available on iOS, macOS and the web. The free plan includes unlimited entries and an AI follow-up question. Premium adds a multi-turn interview, spoken AI questions, conversation playback, and PDF export or audio sharing, for $2.99 a month or $24.99 a year. Entries are stored encrypted, and data is encrypted in transit, but Auricle does not offer end-to-end encryption because AI features process entries on its servers. Users can disable AI processing and export or delete data in Settings.
