In their own words
Australian Teacher
Australian Teacher is a web resource site with teaching materials for Australian classrooms from Pre-Primary and Kindy through Year 10. Its library includes more than 1,000 lessons, worksheets, quizzes, activity sheets, lesson plans and ideas across English, Maths, Science, Australian Studies, HASS and Indigenous content. Resources include printable PDFs and e-books, including 42 printable e-books with ready-made lessons in student worksheet form. English materials cover creative writing, vocabulary, reading comprehension, literature studies and Australian or American spelling variations. Maths resources include numeracy, geometry and measurement, problem solving, statistics and probability, algebraic thinking, games and puzzles. Teachers can select materials for classroom lessons and curriculum use, including formative and summative assessment. The site says it is regularly updated and based in Perth, Western Australia. It is free, and activity ideas are offered without charge, but use and reuse have conditions: users are asked to attribute and link to the site, and copyright licensing terms apply. The worksheets page asks parents to seek permission before using worksheets. The site invites donations to support maintenance and new material.
