Overview

Ganttic organizes planning around resources rather than user seats: every plan allows unlimited users, while the resource count determines the price and plan tier. That can suit organizations that need broad participation without licensing each colleague individually. The free tier is useful for individual planning or a small business that can keep its schedule within 10 resources; teams with larger inventories will need to pay.

Resources can represent people, rooms, machinery, vehicles or equipment, so the planner can cover more than staff allocation. This flexibility is valuable when projects depend on shared assets as well as labor. Ganttic serves companies across industries, but its free resource ceiling makes it a less natural fit for larger operations.

Key features

The online Gantt chart offers resource and task perspectives, with drag-and-drop scheduling. Teams can plan from the perspective of a job or the people and assets needed to complete it. Time blocking, recurring tasks and workload planning support ongoing scheduling; reports and Kanban boards give teams additional ways to review work.

Google Calendar and Outlook syncing, Zapier integrations and an API provide routes to connect planning with other workflows. The API is included in paid plans but excluded from the free plan; trial users can request access to test it. That is a meaningful constraint for teams that need to validate an API-led workflow before committing to a paid tier.

Customizable Owner, Admin and User permissions help separate access responsibilities, and an account History Log provides an activity record. Ganttic says its cloud service runs on AWS servers in Frankfurt, Germany, and is GDPR compliant. Its stated safeguards include AWS WAF protection, TLS 1.2 encryption, annual third-party penetration tests and backups four times daily. Email support, help materials and free unlimited personalized support demos round out the service.

Pricing

Pricing is based on the number of resources planned, not the number of users, and all plans include unlimited users. That favors teams with many collaborators and a bounded resource pool; resource-heavy organizations should check the cap that matches their needs before choosing.

Plan	Price and terms	What it includes
Free	0.00 USD per free	Up to 10 resources, unlimited users and projects, Gantt charts, reports and Kanban boards.
PRO 20	25.00 USD per month	Up to 20 resources, unlimited users and projects, all features and API access.
Free Resource Planner	0.00 USD per free	10 resources or less, unlimited users and all features except API access.

The free options keep a small schedule at no cost, but neither includes API access. PRO 20 raises the ceiling to 20 resources and adds API access alongside all features; the stated monthly price is the relevant trade-off for teams that need that capacity. The 14-day trial includes all features and unlimited resources and users, with no credit card required, which gives teams room to assess a larger setup before choosing a plan.

Platforms

Ganttic runs on the web and offers mobile apps for Android and Apple devices. API is also listed as a platform, though API access is a paid-plan feature; trial users can request access for evaluation.

Who it's for

Ganttic is a good fit for small businesses and individual planners who can stay within 10 resources, as well as larger teams that want unlimited users and need to schedule both people and physical assets. It is less suitable for teams that need API access on a free plan or whose resource count exceeds the paid tier they are considering.

Pros and cons

Resource-based pricing with unlimited users: many colleagues can share a plan without per-seat charges, provided the resource cap fits.
Flexible resource and task views: the Gantt planner can organize work around tasks or the people and assets needed to deliver them.
Free tier for small schedules: up to 10 resources can use unlimited projects, reports and Kanban boards at no cost.
API access is gated: teams relying on integrations must move to a paid plan, though trial users may request access to test it.
Resource caps shape the decision: the free plan stops at 10 resources and PRO 20 at 20, so larger pools need a different arrangement.

Alternatives

For a broader starting point, compare Resource Management Software, Gantt Chart Software and Time Management Apps.

Scoro is another paid option, with a Time-billing plan shown at $17.00 USD per month and a free trial.

SAVIOM has web and self-hosted platform options, for teams considering those deployment choices.
Rapla is a free, open-source option for readers seeking Linux, macOS, Windows or self-hosted availability.
eResource Scheduler starts with a $2.00 USD per month Authentication Plus plan billed per resource, or a $3.00 USD per month Scheduling Plus plan.
LibrePlan offers a free, self-hosted Community Edition with no license fee.

Verdict

Choose Ganttic if your team needs one visual planner for staff and physical resources, and unlimited users matter more than a per-seat model. Its free tier is a practical place to start when 10 resources are enough, while paid access opens the API and a 20-resource plan. Look elsewhere if the resource caps do not fit or API access must be included at no cost.
