Filera
Filera is a free batch file renaming tool for Linux, macOS, and Windows, designed to rename hundreds of files at once. A visual task pipeline offers find and replace, number sequences, dates, custom text, and case conversion, without scripting or regex. Before applying a rename, Filera shows old and proposed filenames side by side; files on disk remain unchanged until you apply the operation. Filters target files by name, type, date range, or size, and filtered files are skipped. Filera can walk directory trees and subfolders in one pass. You can rename files in place, copy renamed files to another directory, or move them. The app supports metadata-based renaming, but not regex renaming, folder renaming, or undoing changes. Built with Tauri and Rust, Filera is MIT licensed. Linux installation instructions list .deb packages for Debian and Ubuntu, and .rpm packages for Fedora and RHEL. Its Windows installer is not yet code-signed, so Windows Defender SmartScreen may show a warning.
