AWS AppConfig
AWS AppConfig lets teams change application behavior in production through feature flags and dynamic configuration without redeploying code. Features can be released immediately or gradually to selected groups, including fine-grained and high-cardinality segments. AppConfig supports A/B and multivariate experiments on live traffic, including tests of LLM model settings, parameters, and prompts. Configuration can come from its hosted store, AWS Secrets Manager, Systems Manager Parameter Store, or Amazon S3. Deployments start through the AWS Management Console, CLI, or an SDK, and workloads can run on EC2, AWS Lambda containers, mobile applications, or edge devices. Monitored alarms can trigger rollback; named integrations include Amazon CloudWatch, Datadog, and Dynatrace. Extensions can send deployment events to EventBridge, SNS, or SQS and create or update Atlassian Jira issues. PrivateLink enables private VPC access, while customer-managed KMS keys add encryption. Hosted configurations default to 2 MB and allow up to 4 MB. Usage pricing is listed per request, configuration received, and experiment hour.
