PoINT Storage Manager
PoINT Storage Manager is a file-based tiering and archiving system for organizations managing company data across storage technologies. It moves inactive files to lower-cost storage while keeping them accessible through the primary storage system, using stub links that do not require changes to existing workflows. Its Enterprise, Archive, and Gateway editions address lifecycle management, file archiving, and compliance archiving. Enterprise can apply individually defined tiering rules and configure up to 64 archiving or storage-transfer processes with separate policies. Storage targets include NAS, object and cloud storage, appliances, tape, and optical systems; integrations include Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, IBM COS, Cloudian HyperStore, Hitachi Content Platform, and NetApp StorageGRID. Retention controls and WORM functionality protect archived data, while replication and migration support movement across storage systems. The product also describes block-level encryption and data-authenticity checks. Version 7.1 lists Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025. It is self-hosted, paid, and pricing is available on request; an evaluation key can be requested.
