In their own words

Backhouse

Backhouse is a web-based real estate platform for agents, teams, and brokerages, with an AI assistant and transaction coordination tools. It tracks deadlines, organizes documents and inbox threads, and drafts client replies for user review. Its CRM logs email conversations, updates contact records, and shows each transaction’s stage, people, and key dates. Clients can use a link to see deal status, next steps, closing date, and documents involving them without logging in. The portal supports signing through a private link with phone-code verification; each step is recorded and the final PDF is sealed. Backhouse checks files against brokerage requirements for issues such as missing signatures, incomplete forms, mismatched names or dates, and missing addenda. Users can ask the assistant by text, email, or app; text messages can include links, voice notes, photos, and screenshots. Email monitoring, calendar scheduling, MLS access, and property search are listed among included features. The plan costs $79 a month per seat and includes 500 AI tasks per seat monthly; additional tasks cost $0.12 each, with a spending cap available. The first 10 days are free.

CLOSd

CLOSd is a transaction management platform for real estate professionals, brokerages, and their teams. It tracks tasks, deadlines, and deals from contract through closing in a visual pipeline with progress indicators, property and client details, key dates, and deal history. When a deal opens, default task templates populate. Tasks can be assigned due dates and generate overdue or due-soon alerts. Deal stages are New Lead, Under Contract, Pre-close, and Closed. Financial fields include list price, contract price, commission, broker split, and net payout. Task assignments, deadlines, and deal updates can trigger SMS and email notifications, with rapid updates batched into one message. Native iOS and Android apps provide deal and task access, push notifications, and real-time desktop syncing. SMS supports STOP and HELP opt-outs and is described as A2P-compliant with major U.S. carriers. CLOSd says it protects personal information and does not sell it. The Solo plan costs $59 a month for one seat; additional seats cost $20/month each. Billing is month to month, with free onboarding support.
