Overview

BipOrder HACCP is a food-safety module for restaurants and other food-service kitchens. It is best suited to teams that need traceable records and audit documentation, with the option to add broader restaurant tools later. Its strongest case is a joined-up compliance workflow; its main drawback is that the HACCP package is tied to Ultimate.

Key features

Staff can log temperatures manually or automatically and receive alerts when readings breach configured limits. Ultimate includes unlimited manual probes, while Bluetooth and Wi-Fi probes are optional. That gives kitchens flexibility in how they collect readings, but teams planning automated monitoring should factor in the optional equipment.

Lot records can include dates and suppliers, with barcode scanning for products and lots. Scheduled cleaning tasks can be validated with a photo, giving managers evidence of completion rather than just a checked box. Digital checklists, inspections and audits, and advanced compliance reporting extend the system beyond temperature logs.

Records are timestamped and exportable as PDFs for DGCCRF/DDPP audits, and the module can generate a Plan de Maîtrise Sanitaire. These features make it a practical fit for operations that need documented controls and exportable records. The HACCP module can run independently or connect with other BipOrder modules, including KDS and Zelty, so adopting it need not mean replacing an existing restaurant setup.

BipOrder names ShopCaisse, Zelty, Uber Eats, Deliveroo and Stripe among compatible tools, and also describes Uber Direct delivery. A help center with tutorials, FAQs and guides covers setup, modules, integrations and billing.

Pricing

Starter costs 0.00 EUR per month. It includes read-only QR menus, custom branding, staff management and AI menu import, but does not include the HACCP package. It is useful for trying BipOrder’s basic restaurant tools, not for running the HACCP workflow.

Essential is 59.00 EUR per month and adds table QR ordering, table and room management, online payments, click-and-collect, basic reports and two payment modes. Pro costs 99.00 EUR per month, adding a kitchen display system, multiple printers, a server app, no-show-resistant reservations, pre-orders, split payments and advanced reports. Digital also costs 99.00 EUR per month and focuses on a generated website, custom mobile app and domain, online ordering, Stripe payments, and ShopCaisse or Zelty integration. These plans target distinct ordering, service or digital-sales needs, but none includes HACCP.

Ultimate costs 149.00 EUR per month and is the plan that includes full HACCP, alongside a kiosk, delivery with Uber Direct, pro analytics, API access and 12 months of the Digital plan at no charge. It also includes unlimited tablets, users and manual probes. For a single venue needing HACCP, that makes the plan’s other restaurant features part of the purchase whether or not they are central to the decision; Bluetooth and Wi-Fi probes remain optional.

A 30-day trial unlocks Ultimate features without requiring a bank card. After it ends, users can move to Starter. That provides a way to assess the broader package before paying, but the free plan is not a continuing free HACCP option.

Platforms

BipOrder supports Android, iOS and web, with an API platform also available. That combination suits teams working across mobile devices and browser-based operations, or connecting software through the API.

Who it's for

The intended settings include traditional restaurants, fast-food businesses, food trucks, collective catering, care homes, dark kitchens and production kitchens. It is most compelling for operators that need temperature controls, traceability, cleaning validation and audit records together. A business seeking only food-safety software, without the rest of Ultimate’s restaurant package, should compare alternatives before committing.

Pros and cons

Pros: Temperature logging, lot traceability, cleaning evidence and audit exports sit in one workflow, reducing the need to manage those records separately.
Pros: Unlimited users, tablets and manual probes in Ultimate suit teams that need to share the system across staff and devices.
Pros: Standalone use and connections to other BipOrder modules allow a narrower HACCP adoption or a broader platform rollout.
Cons: HACCP is included in the 149.00 EUR per month Ultimate plan, not the lower-priced tiers, so simpler restaurant needs do not reduce the price of the compliance package.
Cons: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi probes are optional, which can add equipment expense for kitchens wanting automated readings.

Alternatives

Restaurant Food Safety Software is a useful category comparison for readers weighing food-safety tools more broadly.

Choose Hubl if a per-site plan with unlimited users and devices is a better fit; its Tall plan costs 19.00 GBP per month, and it also offers a free trial. Ideagen Safefood 360° is another paid option, with pricing available by demo request rather than a stated plan price.

Food Safe System may suit teams prioritizing automated temperature monitoring across multiple kitchens: its Pro + Sensors Plan is 21.50 AUD per month per sensor, with a stated $400 setup fee. FoodDocs is worth considering for per-site monitoring tasks, corrective actions and a real-time overview; its Lite plan is 99.00 USD per month, or $79 if billed annually.

FoodSafety HQ offers a 29.00 AUD per month Starter plan for one venue and up to 10 users, while its 39.00 AUD per month Enterprise plan has a 10-venue minimum and unlimited users. Safe Food Pro may fit buyers seeking a per-site annual plan; Professional is 91.00 AUD per year, paid annually, excluding GST.

Traceo is a freemium alternative with a free tier capped at one establishment and 50 HACCP records per month. Appticc HACCP offers a 29.00 USD per month Restaurante plan for one location and up to five professionals making records.

Verdict

BipOrder HACCP is a strong fit for food-service operators who need temperature monitoring, traceability, cleaning validation and audit-ready records, especially if they also want to use BipOrder’s restaurant tools. Its trial and standalone option make it easier to assess without an immediate platform-wide commitment. Look elsewhere if you need HACCP without Ultimate’s 149.00 EUR per month bundle, or if automated probes are essential and their optional cost changes the economics.
