Overview

Badger Maps is a field-sales platform that combines customer mapping, route planning and CRM connections. It suits teams whose work depends on organizing visits around customer locations; its strongest case is bringing those jobs together, while the right fit depends on CRM needs, plan structure and internet access.

Its audience spans sales representatives, managers, operations teams and field service. Visit planning, territory management, lead capture, route optimization and visit check-ins cover a broad field workflow, but the web app needs an internet connection for its features.

Key features

Routing and customer maps

Routes can be optimized for up to 120 stops, with live traffic and turn-by-turn navigation integrations. That is useful for reps planning dense days in the field, though teams with longer routes should check the stop ceiling against their workload. Customer records can be filtered and colorized by custom fields, and map layers include postal codes, points of interest and counties, giving teams geographic context for territory and visit planning.

CRM connections

Native integrations include Salesforce, HubSpot, Microsoft Dynamics, Zoho, NetSuite, Pipedrive, monday.com, Insightly, SugarCRM, Veeva and Odoo. Badger also supports custom CRM and database connections through FTP and REST API, plus app connections through Zapier. Integration depth matters: Standard supports Accounts or Contacts and one related Task or Activity; Advanced supports unlimited objects and their relationships. Teams relying on multiple linked CRM objects should account for that distinction when choosing a plan.

Offline use and security

The web app requires internet access, so Badger Maps is a weaker fit where connectivity is unreliable. Users can continue navigating a current route if they prepared offline maps in Google Maps, but the product itself does not offer offline mobile access. Badger says customer data is hosted on AWS, transit is protected with HTTPS and SSL/TLS, and encrypted daily backups use AES-256 and are retained for up to 12 months. Its security page states compliance with HIPAA, GDPR and 42 CFR Part 2; the pricing page ties HIPAA compliance and support to Enterprise.

Pricing

Personal is free for a 14-day period. It provides the full Business feature set, route optimization for up to 120 stops and native iOS and Android apps. That makes it a useful short evaluation, not a continuing free tier.

Several lower-priced plans focus on narrower jobs and have minimum commitments. Badger Scoreboard is 12.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, or $14/mo billed monthly; it requires at least five licenses and falls to $8/mo after 40 users. It adds leaderboards and gamification, making it a focused option for teams seeking those tools rather than the full Business package. Badger Lead Routing is 16.00 USD per month per territory, billed annually, or $18/mo billed monthly, with a five-license minimum and a $10/mo rate after 40 seats. Badger Align is 20.00 USD per month per territory, billed annually, requires five territories and falls to $10/mo after 40 territories. These territory plans make sense when routing or alignment is the specific need, but their minimums may be a poor fit for a small team.

Badger Insights is 50.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, or $60/mo billed monthly. It adds territory insights, heat, bubble and thematic maps, and reports for teams that need analysis rather than just visit routing. Business is 58.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, or $69/mo per user billed monthly. It includes single-object, two-way real-time CRM integration, lead generation, team roles and permissions, and API access; it is the core paid choice for teams needing an integrated sales workflow.

Enterprise is 95.00 USD per month per user, billed annually, or $109/mo per user billed monthly. It adds multiple CRM objects, SSO with SCIM, a dedicated account manager and support, HIPAA compliance and support, and an API limit of 25k requests per day per team. Enterprise Plus has custom pricing and includes Enterprise features plus custom development, territory alignment, territory-based lead routing, scenario planning and gamification. Phone and chat support are included on the pricing page, while support also provides email, scheduled calls and a phone number.

Platforms

Badger Maps supports Android, iOS, web and API. Its native mobile apps are included in the 14-day Personal offer. The internet requirement on web, and lack of offline mobile access, are important constraints for field teams working beyond reliable coverage.

Who it's for

Badger Maps is best suited to B2B field-sales teams that want customer records, territories and routes coordinated in one workflow, especially when their CRM is among the native integrations or can connect through FTP, REST API or Zapier. Sales operations teams may value the mapping and territory tools; teams that need full CRM-object relationships should budget for the integration depth of Advanced or Enterprise. It is less compelling for crews that need the web app to work offline or cannot meet the territory plans' minimums.

Pros and cons

Pros: Route optimization handles up to 120 stops and incorporates live traffic and navigation integrations, useful for visit-heavy days.
Pros: Broad native CRM coverage plus custom FTP, REST API and Zapier connections gives teams several ways to connect sales data.
Pros: Customer-field filters and geographic layers support planning beyond a basic customer list.
Cons: The web app needs internet, and offline route navigation depends on preparation in Google Maps rather than offline access to Badger's features.
Cons: Standard CRM integration is limited to one object type and one related activity, while broader object relationships require Advanced integration.
Cons: The focused territory plans carry five-license or five-territory minimums, which can price out smaller teams.

Alternatives

Outfield is another paid field-sales option with Android, iOS and web support, a free trial, and plans featuring account management, activity tracking, tasks, account mapping and photos.
RepMove is worth considering for individual users seeking mobile route planning, note tracking and account/contact management at 16.67 USD per year billed annually; its Sales Pro plan is 54.00 USD.
SalesRabbit Appointment Management may suit a single user who wants to start with a free plan, though its Lite tier has limited core features and no full team management; Team is 59.00 USD per month.
RepZio has a free Basic sales rep license, but that tier excludes iOS access, order submission, flipbooks, Send Files, tags and badge scanning.
SimplyDepo is a paid alternative with a free trial and a 19.00 USD per month per-rep SimplyAI Assistant add-on for AI route and visit recommendations, performance insights and shelf or compliance anomaly detection.
Field SFA is another paid option for Android, iOS and web.
FieldFlowSales offers paid plans including a Starter tier for up to 10 agents with basic routing and visit tracking, a 50m geofence, 30-day route history and email support.
BeatRoute is a paid alternative whose Starter Pack focuses on territory and channel-partner management, GPS-based market coverage, order collection, stock reporting and returns, and a campaign form.

Verdict

Choose Badger Maps if your field-sales team needs routes, territory-aware customer mapping and CRM connectivity in one platform, and its integration limits and internet requirement suit your operation. Look elsewhere if offline access to the product is essential, if your team cannot meet the minimums on focused territory plans, or if the Business-level single-object integration is too narrow for your CRM workflow.
