In their own words
Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC)
Baidu Cloud Compute (BCC) creates and manages elastically scalable cloud server instances. Instance families include general-purpose, compute-optimized, storage-optimized, GPU, and FPGA options, with public, marketplace, service-integration, or custom images. Users can adjust instances and bandwidth, scale resources, and connect private data centers in a hybrid cloud. APIs cover creating, stopping, querying, reinstalling, and releasing instances; remote access uses Client, SmartTerm, or VNC. Security features include multi-layer DDoS protection, failover completed in seconds, automatic snapshots, an instance-level virtual firewall, and monitoring alerts. The product page states 99.9999999% data durability. Postpaid use is billed per minute, rounding partial minutes up; prepaid terms run one to nine months or one to three years, while reserved instances use one- or three-year commitments. BCC supports web, API, Linux, and Windows, and creating an instance requires real-name certification.
OpenNebula
OpenNebula is an open-source cloud and virtualization management platform for infrastructure across on-premises, public-cloud, and edge environments. Its control plane brings KVM virtual machines and Kubernetes clusters together, and it also supports LXC container virtualization. Management options include a web GUI, command-line tools, and REST, gRPC, and XML-RPC APIs. OpenNebula runs on major Linux distributions including RHEL, Ubuntu, Debian, and AlmaLinux. GPU scheduling with vGPU and MIG supports AI and HPC workloads. The maker lists integrations such as NVIDIA Spectrum-X, SUSE, NetApp, Veeam, and Everpure, as well as certified hosted-cloud providers. The Community Edition is free, while certain tested and certified enterprise releases are subscriber-only. Enterprise subscriptions include unlimited CPUs, cores, and VMs; Standard support is 9×5 and Premium support is 24×7 in CET and EST. Subscription pricing is by tailored proposal, with no price stated.
