In their own words
Baidu OCR
Baidu OCR recognizes text in images, including printed and handwritten material, and offers more than 70 capabilities for different industries and scenarios. Its structured recognition options cover identity and bank cards, business licenses, household registers, passports, and transport documents. Baidu states that general text recognition and recognition of major certificates and receipts exceed 98% accuracy. Organizations can connect to the public cloud through online APIs or HTTP SDKs. An offline SDK can be integrated into mobile devices such as phones, cameras, and law-enforcement recorders, while private deployments can run on local servers or a private cloud. The private-deployment software is packaged as Docker containers and supports CPU or GPU environments and domestic operating systems. Baidu says it stays within a dedicated network without uploading data to the public internet. The product has no free plan but lists a free test allowance after real-name verification: 1,000 monthly calls for personal accounts or 2,000 for enterprise accounts using General OCR Standard. A shared resource package is listed at 330 CNY, paid once.

The homepage demo names PDF, PNG, JPG, TIFF, and DOCX. Base64 lists more than 3,000 pretrained document models, plus Custom Model Builder, Question & Answer, and Taxonomy capabilities. Its integrations page advertises over 400 prebuilt integrations and API access in 27 programming languages and libraries, including connections for AWS, Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, Google Cloud, Snowflake, and Databricks. Deployment options include cloud, on-premises, air-gapped, and hybrid setups. Base64 lists ISO 27001, ISO 20243, SOC 2 Type 1 and 2, and HIPAA certifications, and says it is GDPR compliant. Plans are annual from 1,000 pages monthly; a free start is available.
