Infortrend EonCloud Gateway connects local storage with cloud services for data migration, caching, backup, and tiering. It supports five workflows: cloud file cache, cloud file sync, cloud volume replication, cloud archiving storage, and cloud tiering. File- and block-level transfers can use protocols including NFS, CIFS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, FTP, and Rsync. Listed cloud targets include Amazon S3, Microsoft Azure, Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud, OpenStack, Baidu Cloud, Tencent Cloud, Wasabi, Yandex Object Storage, hiCloud, HCP, and Backblaze Cloud. Cache policies range from high-priority and local-only settings to rules that prevent caching on reads or writes. Infortrend says the gateway uses a unique key for data encryption and SSL for cloud transmissions; compression and deduplication reduce data size. Reports cover cloud connection status, network transfer, local access, and cache use. The hybrid product is self-hosted and intended for enterprises. It requires at least 8GB of system memory. Pricing is on request, with a 90-day trial and no free plan; license upgrades depend on the purchased storage model.
