In their own words
Banani
Banani is a web app that generates editable, multi-screen mobile and desktop UI designs from an idea, image, or product requirements document. Users can refine designs with text prompts or the editor, add brand assets such as logos and colors, and connect screens into interactive prototypes for presentation or user testing. Real-time collaboration is listed. Exports include Figma, HTML/CSS, and images. Plus and Pro include unlimited Figma exports as editable layers with auto layout intact, as well as MCP/Code export; the FAQ identifies the code export as HTML/CSS. MCP access is included on all plans and connects designs to AI coding agents including Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex. The Free plan includes 12 monthly and 3 daily credits. Plus costs $12 a month billed yearly, with the page also showing $20; Pro costs $30 a month billed yearly, with the page also showing $50. When credits run out, new AI generations pause until they refill or the billing cycle resets, while existing projects remain accessible. Banani was founded in 2024.
Pencil Project
Pencil Project is a free, open-source desktop tool for creating GUI mockups, wireframes, and diagrams. Built-in stencil collections cover desktop, web, Android, and iOS interfaces; connectors and flowchart shapes support diagramming. Elements can link to pages in the same document, and those links become hyperlinks in web exports. Drawings can be exported as PNG files, web pages, OpenOffice or LibreOffice text documents, Inkscape SVG, or Adobe PDF. A clipart browser connected to OpenClipart.org lets users add vector clipart by dragging it into a project. Stencil collections and export templates can be installed as add-ons. Pencil runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, with downloads for Fedora and Ubuntu, other GNU/Linux distributions, Windows, and macOS. The macOS DMG supports Intel and Apple Silicon. Pencil is published under GNU General Public License version 2; Evolus also describes a commercial source-code license. The site identifies version 3.1.1 as the latest stable release and warns that nightly development builds are unstable. It provides a SHA-1 checksum link for download verification and invites donations to support development.
