In their own words
Bandmate Chromatic Tuner
Bandmate Chromatic Tuner is a free tuner that gives music students feedback as they practice. It is presented for band, orchestra, guitar, and voice, with students and music educators as its intended audience. When a user plays or sings, the tuner displays the note on a music staff, transposed for the selected instrument. Its orange needle turns green when pitch is within +/- 5 cents of in tune. A one-tap control switches between flat and sharp spellings of enharmonic notes. Listed instrument choices include saxophones, brass, strings, woodwinds, guitar and ukulele, bells, recorder, and voice in bass or treble clef. Bandmate is available on Android, iOS, and the web; the browser version works on Chromebooks, Android devices, and other devices with a web browser. The maker says there are no third-party ads, and its privacy policy says the tuner does not collect or share personal information. Optional contributions can be made through PayPal or Venmo.
