Overview

BannerBoo is a web-based tool for making advertising banners without code. It is a strong fit for marketers who need animated creatives in multiple formats and sizes; it is less compelling for occasional work that can live within a small free allowance.

Key features

The drag-and-drop editor brings images, text and animation into one ad-building workflow, and the smart animator automates motion. Paid plans also include one-click animation. That makes BannerBoo relevant to advertisers producing animated variations without coding, rather than people looking for a broad design suite.

Output options span HTML5, AMPHTML, GIF, MP4, JPEG and PNG. Resizing adapts banners to different dimensions and formats, while brand controls and ad platform exports support campaign production and distribution. Banners can be kept in cloud storage, embedded on HTML or WordPress websites, or downloaded as an archive. BannerBoo names Google Ads and major ad networks, plus Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and Twitter, as destinations.

Paid plans include an AI banner generator and plan-specific AI credits; Pro and Plus also include AI background removals. These allowances may help marketers creating assets regularly, but the credit and video-export quotas make the tier choice consequential. The support portal covers creation, animation, exports, subscriptions and team management.

Pricing

BannerBoo is freemium, with a seven-day trial and paid pricing advertised from $12/mo when billed annually. The plan prices below are presented separately as monthly prices; Start is $15.00 USD per month, Pro is $29.00 USD per month and Plus is $49.00 USD per month.

Free: 0.00 USD per free, with four banners, 15,000 embedded ad views, 100 Mb storage, one folder and JPG/PNG export. It is suitable for trying the workflow or maintaining a very small set of static creatives, but the banner, storage and format caps constrain campaign use.
Start: $15.00 USD per month, one editor, 15 MP4 exports of up to 30 seconds, 100 AI credits and banner resizing. This is the entry paid tier for a solo marketer who needs resizing and some video output; one seat and a fixed export quota limit shared or high-volume production.
Pro: $29.00 USD per month, one editor, 30 MP4 exports of up to 60 seconds, 200 AI credits and 20 AI background removals. The larger video and AI allowances suit more frequent asset creation, but the single-editor setup remains a constraint for teams.
Plus: $49.00 USD per month, one editor, unlimited MP4 exports, 500 AI credits and 50 AI background removals. It is the clearest fit for a solo producer with sustained video output; it still provides only one editor.

The free tier’s JPG/PNG-only export is a material trade-off for anyone who needs HTML5, AMPHTML or video ads. Paid tiers expand the production allowance, but buyers should weigh their video and AI usage against the stated per-plan quotas.

Platforms

BannerBoo runs on the web, so the workflow is browser-based. Its formats and publishing options cover several ad destinations, but no desktop or mobile app platform is identified.

Who it's for

Freelancers, advertisers, small businesses and marketing professionals can use BannerBoo to create, resize and distribute ad banners without coding. Marketing teams and agencies may value the range of formats and campaign destinations, though the listed paid plans have one editor each. It is not the strongest match for collaborative work that requires multiple editor seats.

Pros and cons

Pro: The combination of HTML5, AMPHTML, GIF, MP4, JPEG and PNG supports varied banner placements and creative types.
Pro: Automated animation and resizing reduce the need to build every ad variation separately.
Pro: Cloud storage, embeds, archive downloads and named social and ad-network destinations offer several ways to distribute finished work.
Con: The free plan allows only four banners, 15,000 embedded ad views and 100 Mb storage, and limits export to JPG/PNG.
Con: Each named paid tier has one editor, which limits direct collaboration within a team.
Con: MP4 exports and AI features have tier-specific quotas except for unlimited MP4 exports on Plus, so sustained production can require a higher-priced plan.

Alternatives

Choose Flexitive if a free plan for one user with five static JPG export credits per month is enough, or if macOS and Windows access matters alongside the web. Choose Quickads for its free DIY Creatives tier, which includes an ad research library, saved brand kit, AI image and video ads, and basic analytics; its Pro plans start at $99/mo.

Adacado is another option for buyers interested in a free start with daily impressions and a 120-day free advertising period. Predis.ai may suit someone seeking social publishing across 10 channels and competitor research, with its Core plan at 24.00 USD per month billed yearly. Bannerwise offers HTML5 creative hosting on its ad server for 15.00 EUR per month, billed monthly.

Google Web Designer is worth considering when a free desktop tool for business use is preferable. Marpipe offers free catalog-creative and feed-management options. AdCreative.ai is an alternative with a Starter plan at 20.00 USD per month billed yearly, including 10 credits per month, one brand and one user.

Verdict

BannerBoo is a practical choice for solo advertisers and marketers who need to create, animate, resize and distribute banner ads across several formats. Its strongest reason to choose it is the combination of production tools and output options; its main drawback is that even the paid tiers list one editor, with usage quotas below Plus. Teams that need shared editing, or users who only need occasional static banners, should look elsewhere.
