StudyBru
StudyBru provides AI tutoring for South African students, with content aligned to CAPS, IEB, and Cambridge curricula. It covers all subjects for Grades 4–12 across those curricula. Students can enter a problem or upload a photo to receive a step-by-step explanation, and the tutor offering includes 28 specialised AI tutors for academic subjects, study skills, wellness, and life skills. StudyBru supports more than 50 languages, including all 11 official South African languages; it says English and Afrikaans provide the best experience. The service remembers a learner’s grade, subjects, and goals, then adapts its teaching style over time. Tutoring is described as available 24/7, and text chat is designed for mobile data and slower connections. It is available on Android, iOS, and the web. The plan is free while in beta, with no credit card required. StudyBru is based in Johannesburg, South Africa. Its FAQ says school-specific tutors and classrooms are coming soon, and schools can join a waitlist.
