Batch Resize vs ON1 Resize AI

Batch Resize is an iOS and macOS app for changing multiple images to a chosen pixel size. Its current App Store listing says it can resize up to 500 images at once. Users can choose fixed width, fixed height, maximum pixel, aspect fill or aspect fit, then save results to Camera Roll or a custom album. Maximum output dimensions are 4000 × 4000 pixels on 32-bit devices and 8000 × 8000 pixels on 64-bit devices. The listing names English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Spanish. Batch Resize is free to download and contains advertising; a 34.99 USD once in-app purchase removes ads. The developer indicates usage data may be used to track users and collected for third-party advertising and analytics, though Apple says this disclosure has not been verified by Apple.

ON1 Resize AI enlarges photos for prints, tighter crops, AI-generated images, and older-photo restoration. It can scale images up to 10×, with custom maximum scaling, and offers batch processing. The 2026 version includes a diffusion-based Highest Quality model and a faster Standard model for batch jobs and less powerful GPUs. Face recovery has a controllable strength setting. Print tools include mural tiling, gallery-wrap margins, sharpening and resolution presets, and soft proofing. Resize AI accepts RAW, PSD, PSB, TIFF, JPG, PNG, and HEIC files. It runs as a standalone app on macOS and Windows and as a plugin for Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. There is no free plan, but the fully functional 30-day trial has no limitations or watermarks, requires no credit card, and starts on first launch. The listed Photo RAW MAX plan costs $89.99 a year and includes the standalone app on three computers, an Adobe plugin, all ON1 apps, and future upgrades.
