In their own words

BatchBoost

BatchBoost is food production management software for artisan food producers, kitchens, packers, and small manufacturers. It calculates recipe costs by batch and unit, and updates those figures when ingredient prices change. Production tools cover runs, batch numbers, yield tracking, and traceability in both directions. Paid plans add stock management and event planning, including recipe-based production and automatic stock deductions. Food-safety tools include 19 downloadable SALSA-aligned templates and allergen management for all 14 FSA-recognised allergens. It offers UK PPDS and Traffic Light nutrition labels, plus US FDA Nutrition Facts panels. BatchBoost runs on the web and through an API; a REST API and MCP server are available on Standard and above. Square POS integration is listed for Standard and Premium. A free plan is available, and listed paid plans are $30.00 per month for Grow, $50.00 per month for Standard, and $100.00 per month for Premium. The plans page advertises a 30 Day free trial of the Stock & Event Module.

Yield Recipe Manager

Yield Recipe Manager is a web tool for food businesses that need to scale recipes, track ingredient inventory, and calculate production costs. Its inventory database records ingredient costs, suppliers, and purchase details. Recipes are built from inventory ingredients, with costs calculated as they are created. Yield says calculations include ingredients, labor, packaging, waste factors, and profit margins, and that ingredient prices are tracked in real time to help identify cost-saving opportunities. Recipes can be scaled to different yields, with metric and imperial measurements and conversions. The maker names food trucks, bakeries, cafes, restaurants, home-based food businesses, and meal-prep services as intended users. The Free plan costs nothing, billed forever, and allows up to 5 recipes, 20 ingredients, and 3 suppliers. Pro costs $20 a month and includes unlimited recipes, ingredients, and suppliers. Recipes currently have to be entered manually; recipe import is in development. Team collaboration and multi-user access are not currently available. The maker says it typically responds to email support within 24 hours and does not offer refunds.
