In their own words
BeautyPlus
BeautyPlus is a photo and video editing service for selfies, portraits, filters, virtual try-ons, and image editing. It runs on the web, iOS, and Android, with mobile apps from the App Store and Google Play. Editing includes generative tools, layers and masks, batch editing, AI filters, textures, color grading, and collages. Portrait controls adjust facial features, smooth skin, and reshape body contours. AI tools can enhance image quality, generate content, change backgrounds, remove objects, restore videos, and create professional headshots. Virtual try-ons cover hairstyles, hair colors, outfits, nail designs, tattoos, and glasses. BeautyPlus also offers image-editing APIs and lists Claude, OpenAI, and OpenClaw as supported AI agents. API applicants need a BeautyPlus account and VIP membership. Cloud editing uploads photos to BeautyPlus servers and may transmit EXIF data, including GPS coordinates and device details. Plans include Free at free with limited AI access; Pro and Max provide stated monthly credits and tool allowances.
Smilebox
Smilebox is an online maker for photo slideshows about holidays, graduations, family events, and other occasions. Finished slideshows can be shared by email or social media, saved to a computer, or downloaded as MP4 files. Smilebox advertises unlimited storage for photos and slideshows. Its other products include eCards, collages, invitations, and announcements, and it describes branded slideshow options for business use. The service runs on Android, iOS, and the web. It has a free plan and a 7-day trial; the listed Free plan costs nothing, with no plan limits stated on the maker page.
