Overview

Researchers can run moderated and unmoderated tests, surveys, card sorts, and tree tests. Userfeel says its vetted panel includes more than 1 million testers and supports studies in over 40 languages; teams can also bring their own participants. Filters include country, language, age, gender, role, and other criteria, giving teams ways to shape recruitment rather than relying on a general pool.

Studies can cover desktop, mobile, tablet, and app contexts, including prototypes. AI summaries, sentiment analysis, and recommendations linked to session evidence help teams review findings, while searchable, time-stamped voice transcripts make it easier to return to particular moments.

Userfeel Ltd says it complies with ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and SOC 2 Type 2, EU GDPR, UK GDPR, and the UK Data Protection Act 2018. Its privacy policy says data is stored within the European Union. Development and support are provided by Netstudio EE, whose employees have access to Userfeel servers and data for those purposes. Upload to YouTube sends a test video to the customer's account as an unlisted video.

Key features

Multiple research methods: Tests, surveys, card sorting, and tree testing can support more of a research program in one service. The range is useful for teams with varied questions, but a smaller team paying for a plan should consider whether it will use more than one or two methods.
Recruitment and targeting: The large multilingual panel and demographic filters suit research across markets or participant profiles. Bringing your own testers is also supported, although the Free plan requires it.
AI-assisted review: Summaries, sentiment analysis, and evidence-linked recommendations offer a faster route from session to review. The evidence link is valuable for checking a recommendation against what happened in a session.
Session records: Searchable, time-stamped voice transcripts support targeted review. A replacement guarantee for unsatisfactory tester sessions reduces the risk of paying for a session that does not meet expectations; purchased credits remain valid for a full year.

Pricing

Userfeel has a free tier and annual paid plans. Free provides 3 credits per month, one admin, and requires your own tester; it includes demographic filters and screener questions. That is enough to explore a small amount of research, but it excludes the panel access that distinguishes the paid service and caps activity at three credits monthly.

Solo costs $3,000.00 USD per year and includes 50 credits, 2 admins, 5 viewers, the 1M+ tester panel, moderated and unmoderated tests, and surveys. It is the entry point for a small team that needs recruited participants, but its 50-credit annual allowance makes regular research planning important.

Team costs $5,500.00 USD per year and raises the allowance to 100 credits, with 3 admins and 10 viewers. It adds a non-English panel, AI analysis, tree tests, and card sorts, making it the more complete fit for teams running varied or multilingual studies.

Enterprise costs $15,000.00 USD per year, with 300 credits, 5 admins, unlimited viewers, priority support, and the best per-credit rate. It is aimed at larger teams or sustained research programs that can use the higher quota and need broad viewing access. Custom has custom pricing and offers a custom research rhythm, a dedicated success manager, custom invoicing, and unlimited viewers.

The progression is substantial: viewers and credits increase by tier, while AI analysis, non-English panel access, card sorts, and tree tests appear at Team rather than Solo. Choose the Free plan only if three monthly credits and your own tester are sufficient; choose a paid plan when recruitment or sustained volume justifies an annual commitment.

Platforms

Userfeel is listed for Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows. Its studies can address desktop, mobile, tablet, and app contexts, so teams can work across device types rather than limiting research to a browser experience.

Who it's for

Userfeel is best for product teams, agencies, and ecommerce brands that need recurring research, participant recruitment, and several testing methods in a single service. The multilingual panel and participant filters are particularly useful when a study needs a defined audience or spans markets. The annual pricing, credit quotas, and Free plan's bring-your-own-tester requirement make it less compelling for individuals, occasional researchers, or teams unsure how often they will run studies.

Pros and cons

Pro: A broad method set and participant recruitment make Userfeel a practical choice for teams that want testing, surveys, card sorting, and tree testing together.
Pro: The stated panel size, language coverage, and filters give researchers options for recruiting beyond their own customer pool.
Pro: Credits last a full year, and the replacement guarantee offers recourse for unsatisfactory tester sessions.
Con: The free allowance is only 3 credits per month and requires teams to supply their own tester.
Con: Paid entry starts at $3,000.00 USD per year, a significant commitment for intermittent research.
Con: The panel, AI analysis, and expanded methods are tiered, so the lowest paid plan does not include every capability a research team may want.
Con: Netstudio EE employees have access to Userfeel servers and data for development and support, a relevant consideration for organizations reviewing vendor access.

Alternatives

Choose Maze if you want to compare another freemium option with a free trial and Android, iOS, API, and web platform coverage; its free plan has limited features after the trial, with limits unstated.

InsightLab is a different kind of free option: its free plan is centered on 100 tickets per month, support for Intercom, Zendesk, and CSV imports, basic charts and reports, and scheduled email and Slack reporting.

Choose UXArmy if a lower-cost starting point matters more than a participant panel: its free plan offers 15 monthly credits and one full seat, but no recordings or panel access. Its supported platforms are Android, iOS, and web.

Whyser offers a free plan with 10 interviews of up to 25 minutes, AI summaries and analysis, chat with data, custom reports, and voice recordings; it is a relevant alternative when those interview capabilities fit the work.

HeyMarvin is another freemium alternative with a free plan and a free trial.

Listen Labs is a paid alternative with Android, iOS, API, and web platform coverage.

Choose Lookback if a smaller annual commitment and a defined session bundle are preferable: its Freelance plan costs $299.00 USD per year and includes 10 sessions, one panel participant, one collaborator seat, unlimited guests, and chat support.

Userlytics is a paid alternative with broad platform coverage including Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows; its Enterprise price card lists $34.00 USD per participant / session on an annual plan with volume discounts.

Verdict

Userfeel is a strong fit for research teams that will make steady use of its tester panel, method range, and AI-supported session review. Its main case is breadth: recruitment, multiple study types, transcripts, and analysis sit within one service. The main reason to look elsewhere is the cost of entry and the Free plan's narrow quota and tester requirement. Choose it when recurring research can justify the annual credits; for sporadic studies, a cheaper or more flexible alternative is the safer choice.
