BetterPic
BetterPic generates professional 4K AI headshots for individuals and remote teams from uploaded photos. Users choose styles and backgrounds, submit photos, and receive an email when their portfolio is ready. The service offers more than 150 style, outfit, and background options. AI Studio provides edits such as clothing and background changes, skin correction, eye adjustments, and background removal; customers can also request custom work from human photo editors. Team tools include a dashboard for inviting members, tracking progress, reviewing results, and managing team photoshoots. BetterPic lists a free plan, with individual paid plans billed once: Basic costs $35, paid once, Pro $59, paid once, and Expert $99, paid once. The plans differ in headshot counts, styles, edits, and support response targets. Team pricing ranges from $49 per person for 1–4 people to $13 per person for 1000+ people. BetterPic says it does not sell customer data or use uploaded photos to train AI models, and deletes images no later than 30 days after delivery or approval. It also states AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest.
VRoid Studio
VRoid Studio is a free application for making 3D humanoid avatars for VR and AR content. It runs on Windows and macOS, with an iPad app, and exports models as VRM files. Adjustable controls cover facial features, hairstyles, outfits, shapes, colors, and designs. The texture editor supports layers, drawing directly on 3D models, UV mapping, pressure-sensitive pen tablets, and Apple Pencil on iPad. Hair tools let users draw strokes, tune them with parameters, and set bounce for individual hair sections. Creators can set terms for their own models, textures, and item data, including commercial-use and credit requirements. Linking a VRoid Hub account enables direct model uploads; uploaded characters can be used in integrated games and platforms. The dress-up workflow recommends Unity, VRChat Creator Companion, XWear Packager, and UniVRM for converting or handling related avatar and costume files. Listed requirements are Windows 10/11 and macOS 11, and operation or support is not guaranteed below recommended specifications. The help page says Wacom pen tablets are supported and warns that the iPad app may close during high-load operations.
