In their own words

BigRoad ELD

BigRoad ELD provides driver logs and hours-of-service tracking through a mobile app, with fleet tracking, communications and violation notifications in its web app. DashLink hardware is required: it connects to a vehicle’s diagnostic port and sends engine data to the mobile app over Bluetooth for ELD logging. BigRoad says its ELD is registered on the FMCSA ELD list and third-party certified by FPInnovations for Canadian ELD. Drivers can use offline logging, show logs in roadside inspection mode or send them to safety officials. Log events may be edited within regulatory limits, after which the driver must recertify that log day. The mobile app runs on Android 8 or higher and iOS 12.0 or higher smartphones and tablets, but not on a laptop. BigRoad describes its customers as owner-operators and fleet-owning businesses across North America. A free trial is listed, but pricing is on request. The company says it began in Waterloo, Canada, in 2011 and was acquired by Fleet Complete in 2017.
