In their own words
Binadox
Binadox combines cloud cost management, FinOps, and SaaS management to help businesses track technology spending. It monitors SaaS renewals and financial metrics, collects invoices, and sends renewal notices. License analytics show usage across teams and individual users to inform allocation, while automatic discovery can identify unauthorized SaaS applications through a browser extension, desktop agent, proxy, or OAuth integration. The platform also lists license reclamation, usage analytics, and access workflows. Binadox provides integration guides for services including ClickUp, Basecamp, Sentry, Monday.com, LastPass, Notion, Linear, Pipedrive, Harvest, and Calendly. Its main platform is cloud-based and requires no installation on customer systems, though some integrations need a separate account or API key. The optional desktop agent supports Linux, macOS, and Windows and needs elevated permissions to read browser history for all machine users; database access is read-only. Starter costs $99 a month, with Professional at $299 a month and Premium at $499 a month. The 7-day trial limits connections to three SaaS applications and one cloud provider.
Tropic
Tropic is a procurement solution for finance and procurement teams managing software and AI spending. It supports purchasing, supplier negotiations, renewal tracking, and policy-controlled approvals through a web platform and API. Supplier pricing benchmarks, negotiation approaches, and supplier landscape data are available from the first day without uploading contracts. After contracts are added, Tropic surfaces possible overspending, overlapping suppliers, negotiation opportunities, and contract risks. Renewal and proposal agents support workflow work; intake and orchestration are optional add-ons. The platform checks requests against policies, routes approvals, flags contract risks, and compares invoices with contract terms. Prebuilt no-code connectors are available, and customers can build integrations through the public API. Tropic says it serves organizations from SMBs without procurement staff to enterprises with complex technology stacks, charges no per-user license fee, and works exclusively for buyers. Pricing is $3,083 a month, with a free trial.
