In their own words
BlankComic
BlankComic is a free, browser-based comic panel creator for storytellers and artists. Users can arrange panels by dragging, resizing, or splitting them, or start with more than 30 templates. The editor offers speech, thought, shout, and whisper bubbles, plus narration, captions, sound effects, and comic-style fonts. Reusable character color schemes can be applied across panels. Projects can include multiple pages that users add, reorder, or duplicate, then export together as a PDF. Other export options are PNG, SVG, and editable .blank files; PNG output supports up to 300 DPI. Page formats include US Comic, A4, Manga, Square, Webtoon, and custom dimensions. Projects autosave in browser storage and can be moved between devices as .blank files. The maker says projects remain in the browser and are not uploaded. After the page loads, the editor works offline, though internet access is needed for the initial load and Google Fonts. Font requests are governed by Google's Privacy Policy. Exports use sRGB; CMYK output is not supported.
ComicCanvas
ComicCanvas is a free web-based comic page maker for artists, writers, teachers and anyone building a story in comic form. Users can begin with ready-made panel layouts or create pages from scratch, then add custom panels and resize frames. The editor combines artwork with speech and thought bubbles, narration boxes, captions, text and sound effects. Projects can contain multiple pages that users add, duplicate, reorder or delete. The current page can be exported as PNG, JPG or PDF. Signing in enables Cloud save for creating and reopening multiple projects; students can create and export pages for free, with an account needed only to save and reopen work. The Free plan costs nothing, is billed Free to start and requires no credit card. ComicCanvas’s terms say users retain ownership of projects and uploaded or created images. Stripe processes payments, while paid subscriptions renew each billing period until cancelled.
