Overview

Blerp is a soundboard and streaming toolkit for creators who want audience-triggered audio, alerts, and text-to-speech in their broadcasts. It is strongest for streamers building interactive sessions around sounds and rewards; its paid alert features make the billing term worth weighing before subscribing.

The library gives users more than one million community-created sounds, with options to upload audio or make clips from Twitch and YouTube. Blerp also supports messaging and voice chats, so it can serve beyond livestreams, though its broadest feature set is aimed at content creators.

Key features

Sound library and playback

Browsing a million-plus user-created sounds offers plenty of material for a stream or chat, while uploading and clip creation let creators add their own choices. Multiple soundboards and hotkey triggering suit fast playback during a live session, where searching for each effect would be disruptive.

Streaming toolkit and moderation

Sound alerts, video alerts, overlays, channel points, and subathon timers put several audience-interaction tools in one service. More than 500 text-to-speech voices are paired with an approval queue and word censorship, which gives streamers controls over incoming messages rather than leaving speech entirely unmoderated.

Blerp names Twitch, Discord, YouTube, TikTok, Kick, and other streaming platforms as integrations. Twitch creators can make over 50 Channel Reward sounds and an unlimited number of Bits rewards, but some features require Affiliate status. Only sounds marked reviewed by Blerp are guaranteed DMCA safe, an important distinction for creators managing copyright risk.

Security and support

Blerp says it does not sell or monetize user data. Beets payments use PayPal infrastructure powered by Braintree. For questions, users can contact Blerp or join its Discord.

Pricing

The free TTS Free plan costs 0.00 USD per month (billed $0/mo) and includes a 500+ voice library, basic voice filters, a moderation queue, and word censorship. It is a focused entry point for text-to-speech, not the full alert-builder and subscription feature set included with Unlimited.

Blerp Unlimited — Monthly costs 10.99 USD per month (billed Billed monthly). It includes the full Blerp alert builder and subscription feature set, and suits creators who want those tools without committing to a longer billing cycle.

Blerp Unlimited — Annual costs 5.99 USD per month (billed $71.88 billed annually), while Blerp Unlimited — 2-Year costs 4.99 USD per month (billed $119.76 billed every 2 years). Both include the same full feature set; the longer terms lower the stated monthly rate but require paying for a year or two at a time.

Unlimited has a seven-day trial, and subscribers can cancel anytime through their profile. The free plan is a useful way to start with TTS, but creators who need the complete alert and subscription tools must choose an Unlimited term.

Platforms

Blerp is available on Android, iOS, web, and browser extension, as well as listed for Linux, macOS, and Windows. The extension supports Chrome, Edge, and Brave. Blerp HUD is listed for Mac, Windows 10 or 11, and Linux beta, with Linux AppImage downloads for x64 and ARM64.

The browser app and extension make Blerp accessible without relying on a desktop app, while the Linux beta is a less settled option for users who prefer a native desktop workflow.

Who it's for

Blerp is a good fit for streamers and content creators who want a large sound library alongside alerts, TTS, and audience-reward features. The free TTS plan may suit creators who mainly need moderated spoken messages; Unlimited is the more relevant choice for those building streams around the full alert toolkit.

It is less suitable for someone seeking only a straightforward soundboard with no need for streaming alerts or creator features, particularly if a paid multi-year commitment is unwelcome.

Pros and cons

Pros: A library of more than one million sounds, plus uploads and clip creation, gives creators several ways to source audio.
Pros: TTS moderation tools and a free TTS plan provide a controlled starting point for spoken audience messages.
Pros: Unlimited includes the full alert builder and subscription feature set, with lower stated monthly rates on longer billing terms.
Cons: Some Twitch features require Affiliate status, so not every streamer can use the entire reward toolkit.
Cons: Only team-reviewed sounds carry Blerp's DMCA-safe guarantee, so creators need to pay attention to which sounds they use.
Cons: The two-year plan requires a $119.76 payment every two years, making its lower monthly rate a substantial upfront commitment.

Alternatives

For a free soundboard across platforms with no account, installation, watermarks, or limits, consider SoundTools Soundboard. Choose Sound Show if its free tier's up-to-10-tab and 40-sounds-per-tab limits suit your setup and you want its visual customization options.

Voicemod AI Voice Cleaner is another free-plan option, with an AI voice cleaner. Resanance offers a free soundboard with unlimited sounds and hotkeys, and multiple output devices, for users who want those playback controls without a trial.

Stadium Sound is another free option. For a paid desktop soundboard, Soundplant has a $69.00 USD one-time single-user license that lasts for the purchased version and includes two years of free upgrades. AudioPad is a free Linux and Windows option. For browser-only use without a subscription or caps on rooms, clips, or sessions, consider Soundboard Online.

See the Soundboard Software category for more options.

Verdict

Blerp is best for streamers who want a large sound library tied to TTS, alerts, and audience rewards. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; the feature restrictions around Affiliate status, copyright qualification, and the upfront cost of longer Unlimited terms are reasons to look elsewhere if a simpler soundboard is enough.
