Overview

Teams import an HTML design and define editable areas with a visual theme editor or HTML classes and attributes. That gives designers control over the structure while editors work on content inside it. Blocks Edit supports websites, blogs, landing pages, marketing emails, digital forms and other content, and can publish to a chosen host or CDN or export email content to service providers.

The distinction between content production and delivery is important: Blocks Edit does not send emails to customers or hold audience lists. Teams that need campaign delivery or contact management should pair it with other software.

Key features

Editing and preview

Inline editing and drag-and-drop components let editors change prepared designs without requiring each content update to happen in code. Live preview and editing for mobile and dark mode help teams address those presentations before publishing. This works best when a developer or designer has already established the HTML; it is not a blank-canvas design tool.

Team review and quality checks

Commenting, role-based permissions, revision history, a shared content library and campaign checklists support a structured handoff from creation through approval. Checklist-based review, broken or missing link flags and automated image formatting add useful safeguards, particularly when several people contribute. These controls are most valuable to teams with recurring review work; a solo user may have little need for the collaboration layer.

Publishing, integrations and security

Blocks Edit says it works with HTML, CSS and JavaScript platforms. Direct connections include AWS, GCP Storage, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, Iterable, Okta and OneLogin; sFTP and SAML are standard support. Custom integration requests require a yearly plan and at least five team members, a meaningful constraint for smaller buyers with bespoke systems.

Uploaded files are backed up daily, and data sent over public networks is encrypted. Remote server access uses VPN and two-factor authentication and is limited to workers who need it. The company says its PII scope is limited to team member account credentials. Support is available by email at support@blocksedit.com.

Pricing

Blocks Edit is freemium, with a free plan, a 30-day trial and paid options. The free plan costs $0.00 USD per free and provides solo editing, unlimited editing and 5 GB storage. It is a sensible way for an individual to work with the editor, but it does not provide the team-oriented setup implied by the paid plans.

The Collaborate plan is 240.00 USD per year, billed $240.00 per year (equivalent to $20.00/month, billed annually), and includes 250 GB storage. The Yearly plan is 20.00 USD per year per user, with five users shown at $99 per month, billed yearly; integrations are priced separately. Its displayed pricing also shows $25 reduced to $20 per user and $125 reduced to $99 per month for five users. These plans suit teams budgeting for annual use, but the separate integration charge can raise the total.

The 5 users plan is 99.00 USD per year, billed yearly, and specifies five users. Integrations cost 10.00 USD per month per user for each integration, covering asset hosts, email providers and SSO. Additional storage costs 25.00 USD per month for each additional 250 GB increment. Buyers should account for both charges when comparing plans: storage above the included 250 GB and integrations are not bundled into the stated annual plan prices.

Platforms

Blocks Edit runs on the web. Its compatibility with HTML, CSS and JavaScript platforms, plus publishing to a chosen host or CDN and email-provider export, makes it flexible at the output end, but does not change its browser-based platform scope.

Who it's for

Freelancers, agencies, enterprise teams, marketers, managers, designers, developers, copywriters and content editors are all within its intended audience. It makes the most sense where designers prepare HTML layouts and multiple people need to edit, review and publish content under permissions. It is less suitable for a buyer whose central need is sending campaigns or managing subscriber lists.

Pros and cons

Pros: Editors can update prepared HTML through inline and drag-and-drop controls while designers retain control over editable regions.
Pros: Comments, permissions, revision history, shared content and checklists support coordinated review rather than informal handoffs.
Pros: Publishing and export options cover web hosts, CDNs and email service providers, with direct connections and standard sFTP and SAML support.
Cons: It produces email content but does not send it or hold audience lists, so delivery requires another tool.
Cons: Integrations are separately priced at 10.00 USD per month per user for each integration, and custom requests require an annual plan with at least five team members.
Cons: The free plan is for solo editing and includes 5 GB storage; additional storage is charged in 250 GB increments.

Verdict

Choose Blocks Edit if your team already works with HTML designs and needs a controlled, collaborative way to create and review content across email and web channels. The combination of editable-region controls, team workflow and multiple publishing routes is its clearest strength. Look elsewhere if you need customer email delivery, audience management or a free team plan rather than solo editing.
