In their own words
Blue Ink Tech BIT ELD
Blue Ink Tech BIT ELD combines electronic hours-of-service logs, driver vehicle inspection reports, and IFTA mileage in an app and web portal. Required hardware connects through a vehicle diagnostic port using 9-pin or OBD-II connections. The company says its ELDs are FMCSA registered and points users to the agency’s list to verify models. Driver and Inspector cards support roadside inspection workflows. Drivers can share a device or use separate devices, with team driving and drive-time swapping supported. The app and portal are available to try before purchasing the ELD. Compatible phones or tablets need Bluetooth 4.0 or better, GPS, and app-store access. Android, iOS, and web platforms are listed. Plans include $30 a month or $300 a year. Both include HOS logs, DVIRs, IFTA miles, app and portal access, and U.S.-based support; monthly subscribers can cancel anytime without a contract. Accounts can use REST and JSON API keys for listed fleet data. Hardware has a one-year defect warranty and a 30-day money-back return period.
TruckX
TruckX is fleet management software for carriers that need ELD compliance, vehicle tracking, asset tools, and dashcams. Its ELD One service combines Hours of Service tracking, a driver logbook, DVIR workflows, trip management, a fleet web portal, and instant HOS violation alerts. TruckX says ELD One is FMCSA-approved and compliant with the listed federal driver-record rules. GPS tools include live location, geofencing, analytics, and alerts. Dashcam options cover road and driver views; the four-channel model adds two side-view cameras, and both models list live video and in-cab alerts. Fleet tools include document management, messaging, roles and permissions, more than 20 reports, and API location sharing. Driver and Dispatcher apps are available for iOS and Android. During temporary network gaps, the ELD device can send logs to the app over Bluetooth for local storage and later syncing, though drivers subject to ELD rules need an active phone internet connection. Pricing starts at $15/mo, with no free plan. Asset tracker hardware is $69, paid once for wired or $119, paid once for smart; listed annual services are $99 a year.
