Overview

The service combines meeting coordination, document management, task tracking, and board discussion with member profiles, committee assignments, and activity reports. That breadth gives small organizations a shared workspace for board business, while plan limits make capacity a central purchasing question.

The vendor says it encrypts data transfers and uses 256-bit AES and TLS 1.2. Servers run in Microsoft Azure availability zones in Virginia. Support is available by request form, FAQ, knowledge base, email, and phone at +1 888-240-3415.

Key features

Meetings and records

The calendar covers events, agendas, attendee notifications, RSVPs, attendance records, and archived events. Board book building and minutes management round out the meeting workflow, helping boards handle preparation and preserve a record of proceedings alongside scheduling.

Documents, tasks, and discussion

Members can arrange documents in folders, control access, upload by drag and drop, and tag files. Tasks support lists, due dates, assignments, reminders, attachments, and comments, making the portal useful for tracking follow-up work rather than just sharing meeting material. Topic threads support discussion of announcements, proposals, and ideas; comments can reach members by email, and members can reply from email.

Members and committees

Profiles, a member directory, committee assignments, and reports on board activity and work give administrators tools to organize participation and review activity across the group.

Pricing

The Lifetime free account costs 0.00 USD per free and allows up to 3 members. That is a useful no-cost fit for a very small board, but the cap leaves little room for expansion.

Advisory costs 49.00 USD per month and includes 5 members, 5 GB of storage, and email support. Small costs 99.00 USD per month for 10 members and 10 GB, while Medium costs 199.00 USD per month for 20 members and 20 GB; both also include email support. Paid plans offer 2 months free with yearly billing. The step-up plans increase both member capacity and storage, but even Medium is capped at 20 members, so organizations with larger boards need to consider whether the plan structure fits them.

A 30-day trial provides a way to evaluate the paid service before committing. The directory also identifies director capacity as 5 users, a constraint worth checking against a board's intended use.

Platforms

Board Management runs in a modern browser and works on Macs and PCs; the listed platforms are macOS, web, and Windows. Mobile apps are not available, so members should expect browser access rather than a dedicated app. The vendor does not support customer-server hosting and has no plans for a self-hosted or desktop version.

Who it's for

The vendor presents the service for boards and groups, with solutions for nonprofits, education, clubs and chapters, government, and businesses. It is best suited to organizations that want meeting records and collaboration tools in a browser and can stay within the member and storage allowances. Groups requiring local hosting, desktop software, or dedicated mobile apps should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros: Meeting agendas, minutes, board books, documents, tasks, and threaded discussions cover multiple parts of board work in one portal.
Pros: A free account for up to 3 members gives very small boards a no-cost starting point.
Cons: Paid plans top out at 20 members in the stated tiers, with storage capped at 20 GB on Medium.
Cons: Browser-only access and no self-hosted or desktop option rule it out for groups that require those deployment choices.

Its Essentials plan starts at 20.99 USD per year, billed annually at 251.88 USD, with 1,000 files, 5 meeting guests, 10 groups, and 4 survey sends. Its Not-for-Profit Boards plan costs 1800.00 USD per year, billed annually, plus GST, and includes agenda and board-pack building, live minutes, annotations, actions, voting, and circular resolutions. Verdict

Choose Board Management if a small board wants meeting preparation, records, documents, tasks, and discussion together, with a free entry point and browser access. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; fixed member and storage ceilings, no mobile apps, and no self-hosting are the reasons to look elsewhere.
