In their own words
Bookwiz
Bookwiz is a web-based writing tool that helps authors outline, draft, revise, and prepare books for Amazon KDP. Its assistant uses the manuscript, chapters, and notes as context for writing and revision, and users can switch between Claude, GPT, and Gemini models per prompt. Every plan exports KDP-ready EPUB, print PDF, and DOCX files, plus a full-wrap paperback cover. Bookwiz does not publish directly to Amazon; authors upload the prepared files themselves. The Free plan costs nothing and includes up to three books, eight fast AI prompts, 30 inline autocompletes per day, and KDP-ready exports. Explorer costs $14 a month, Storyteller costs $35 a month, and Professional costs $99 a month. A separate Publish this book option costs $79, paid once, and a three-day trial is listed. Bookwiz describes its audience as including experts, coaches, founders, first-time and indie authors, and novelists. Users retain ownership of their creative content.
Loreon
Loreon is a web writing workspace for novelists managing long or serialized fiction. It combines a manuscript editor with a structured story bible and consistency checks at scene, chapter, and manuscript level. The story bible organizes characters, locations, cultures, and world history and rules as canon. Specialist agents cover worldbuilding, character voice, consistency, foreshadowing, plot structure, adaptation, and production tasks. Writers can ask agents to ghost-write, co-author, or review silently while retaining control over manuscript changes. Loreon can track canon and planted story threads across multiple volumes, and includes outlining, a chapter workspace, and rewrite controls. Users can import pasted text or .md, .txt, and .docx files, then export as Markdown, plain text, PDF, or EPUB. Imports are capped at 10 MiB, 150 chapters, 800 scenes, and 50,000 paragraphs, with a 64 KiB paragraph limit. The Editor plan is free forever for reading, writing, editing, and organizing. Agent work uses prepaid credits: Starter costs 10.00 USD once for 1,000 credits, Writer costs 50.00 USD once for 5,000, and Saga costs 250.00 USD once for 25,000. Purchased credits do not expire. Loreon is web-only, with no offline mode or desktop app.
