In their own words

Boom 3D

Boom 3D is an audio enhancement app for Mac and Windows, with virtual surround sound, equalization, and playback controls. Its 3D surround effect works with headphones and includes controls for LFE gain and audio intensity. Both desktop versions include a 31-band equalizer with genre presets, while system-wide volume boosting is available only on Mac. A controller can set levels separately for running applications. The built-in player handles locally stored audio and playlists, and the app provides access to more than 20,000 internet radio stations across 120 countries. It can work offline, though radio and updates require internet access. The product page lists a 15-day free trial that does not require payment details. The paid product starts at ₹925.37, and one license activates on up to four devices across platforms. The site also lists Chrome and Safari extensions. Global Delight, founded in 2007 and headquartered in Udupi, India, makes the app. Separate help pages and manuals are available for Mac and Windows.

Splitwave

Splitwave is a free desktop audio router for connecting sources, effects, and outputs in a real-time node graph. Sources include microphones, system audio, individual app audio, WAV files, and virtual-device loopback. Its listed effects include noise suppression, EQ, compression, gating, reverb, and delay, and it can record audio to files. Splitwave can host CLAP and VST3 plugins as nodes; Audio Unit hosting is available only on macOS. For network audio, WebRTC peers connect in both directions, while UDP sender and receiver nodes support Opus or raw PCM. Splitwave creates virtual audio devices on macOS and Linux; Windows users need VB-Cable or a similar virtual cable. It supports macOS 13 or newer on Apple Silicon or Intel, Linux x86_64 with PipeWire, and 64-bit Windows 10 or newer. Processing is local unless a network node directs audio to a peer. The desktop app does not transmit audio streams, personal files, or usage telemetry to an external server. It is free and open source under the MIT license.
