In their own words

Boomi

Boomi is a hybrid enterprise platform for connecting applications and data, managing APIs, and automating processes. Boomi Integration links applications and data sources through pre-built connectors and integration recipes. The platform also includes data management, API management, managed file transfer, and B2B/EDI capabilities. Deployment options include cloud, on-premises, and a managed zero-footprint solution. Boomi says the platform can access more than 1,000 MCP enterprise tools for secure, governed workflows, and describes it as AI-native, with capabilities for governing agents and controlling AI costs. API features include a catalog, developer portal, lifecycle management, access policies, analytics, and product management. Pay-As-You-Go costs $99 a month plus usage, billed monthly, with no contract; a 30-day trial is also listed. Other listed plans require contacting sales for pricing, and user limits vary by plan. Boomi says support is included, with community support on Base and priority or dedicated options on higher tiers. Its Trust Center lists SOC 1 and SOC 2, ISO, HIPAA, PCI, FedRAMP Moderate, and StateRAMP among its credentials. Boomi is headquartered in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.

Workbench

Workbench is a free, browser-based suite for Salesforce administrators and developers working with Salesforce organizations through Force.com APIs. It supports the Partner, Bulk, REST, Streaming, Metadata and Apex APIs. In a browser, users can describe, query, manipulate and migrate Salesforce data and metadata, with field mapping and relationship migration listed. Troubleshooting tools include customizable SOAP headers, API traffic debug logs, compatibility testing with earlier API versions and Salesforce single sign-on integration. Connections use Salesforce OAuth login or a session ID. Workbench runs on the web, Linux, macOS and Windows, and can be self-hosted. Documentation describes configurable CSRF protection, end-to-end SSL requirements and organization allowlists or blocklists for self-hosted instances. The project is distributed under the Open Source BSD License. It is in maintenance-only mode, has not completed full quality assurance testing, is supplied as-is and should not be used with production data. Browser and connection timeouts make large loads, exports, scripting and other intensive work unsuitable.
