In their own words
BR-DGE
BR-DGE is a payment orchestration platform that connects businesses with payment services through a single API. Its modular services include Integrate, Connect, Optimise, Vault, Insights and White Label. Optimise lets businesses build payment workflows and route transactions by rules such as currency, value or provider priority; automatic retries are supported. Insights provides live reports on payment successes and failures, performance, acquiring rates and volumes. Vault offers centralised PCI-compliant tokenisation, including a universal token merchants can use to direct card payments to different providers. The company says the platform has more than 400 connections across payment providers, fraud tools and alternative payment methods. Integration choices include a hosted payment page, web, Android or iOS SDKs, and a REST API. BR-DGE describes itself as a PCI Level 1 certified service provider with a SOC 2 Type 2 attestation, both renewed annually, and says its multi-cloud, multi-region architecture can switch servers automatically. It is based in Edinburgh and was founded in 2018. Pricing is on request.
OpenSwitch
OpenSwitch provides one API for routing, retrying, and observing payments across multiple payment service providers. Routing rules can use cost, success rate, currency, BIN, geography, or custom expressions, while retry policies and connector fallback chains reroute soft declines. A shared schema covers payments, refunds, disputes, mandates, and webhooks across enabled connectors. The product describes a network-token-aware vault with tokens portable across PSPs controlled by the customer. Per-connector latency, authorization rates, and decline reasons are available, with event export through webhooks or S3. The connector directory lists 18 integrations, including Stripe, Adyen, Checkout.com, Braintree, Paymob, Klarna, PayPal, and Razorpay. Developer materials document REST and JSON, an npm SDK, Docker, and a self-hosted Rust binary. OpenSwitch says it does not custody funds; settlements occur directly between PSPs and customers' bank accounts. Open Source is free; Cloud is priced on request per orchestrated request.
