Overview

The product is designed to span a project’s lifecycle, from feasibility work and estimates through scheduling, purchasing, execution and cost analysis. That combination can reduce the need to keep project controls and purchasing in separate systems, particularly for firms that want to compare estimated costs with execution costs as work proceeds.

SHM says its customer range extends from businesses with one or two user accounts to multinationals with hundreds or thousands of workers. BrickControl is a web application accessed through an internet connection, so its cloud model is a poor fit for teams that require routine local operation without connectivity.

Key features

Estimating and planning

Detailed estimates, feasibility analysis, site assessments and price databases support project preparation, while scheduling, bid management and budget tracking cover planning and commercial controls. This scope is valuable for contractors that want estimates and schedules connected to subsequent execution tracking; teams seeking only a lightweight scheduling tool may be paying for broader project functions they do not need.

Execution and cost control

BrickControl tracks progress and progress certificates alongside resources, materials, labor and machinery costs. Reports compare estimated costs with actual execution costs in real time, giving managers a way to monitor budget performance during delivery rather than relying solely on a final reconciliation.

Procurement and inventory

Supplier and purchase-order management sit alongside stock, warehouse and inventory features. Document management is also included among its capabilities. These functions make the product more relevant to firms coordinating purchasing and site execution than to users looking for a standalone accounting package.

Integrations, security and support

Named integrations include Reviso, QuickBooks, Dynamics 365 Business Central, Holded and SAP; BrickControl also says custom integrations can be built through its REST API. The pricing structure places Holded, Reviso and QuickBooks integrations among optional Premium services, while Sage 200, Oracle NetSuite, SAP and Dynamics 365 integrations are associated with Enterprise. Buyers should confirm the needed integration and its cost before choosing a plan.

BrickControl says customer data is stored in Amazon data centers, user access data is encrypted, and customers set access permissions. Subscribers can download backups while subscribed; after cancellation, data is retained for one week before deletion. Support requests go by email and automatically create a ticket with a tracking number.

Pricing

There is no free plan. The 14-day trial includes all features and does not require a credit card, making it a useful way to assess the complete workflow before committing.

Plan	Price and included users	What it suits
Basic	64.00 USD per month; 2 users included; additional users 64 USD / month; Silver Support	Small teams that can work within two accounts and need the core construction-management scope.
Business	129.00 USD per month; 3 users included; additional users 77 USD / month; Silver Support; 3 query resolution sessions	Teams needing a third account and the included query-resolution sessions.
PREMIUM	194.00 USD per month; 5 users included; additional users 90 USD / month; Gold Support; REST API and accounting integrations listed as optional services	Firms with up to five included users that need stronger support or are considering API and accounting connections.
ENTERPRISE	Custom pricing; annual plan option; contract the users you need; Platinum Support; custom developments and integrations listed as optional services	Larger organizations needing a tailored user count, support or development arrangements.

The Basic plan is the lowest-cost entry point, but its two included users mean even a modest team can face a substantial added-user charge. Business adds one included user and three query resolution sessions; Premium raises the included count to five and upgrades support, but its API and accounting integrations are optional rather than included by default. New clients are offered a 50% discount for 3 months on the monthly plans. The Enterprise price is custom, and its annual option makes it important to confirm contract terms directly.

Platforms

BrickControl supports web, Android, iOS, Windows, macOS and Linux. The web application requires an internet connection. The pricing comparison also identifies local server installation as a feature for which further information is required, so businesses considering that deployment should clarify its availability and terms.

Who it's for

BrickControl is a strong candidate for construction firms that need estimates, schedules, purchasing, inventory, execution monitoring and cost comparisons in a connected system. Its stated customer range includes very small businesses and large multinationals, but the per-user charges make the plan economics especially important for growing teams. Firms needing a free ongoing tier, or dependable offline/local operation, should look elsewhere.

Pros and cons

Pros

Broad project coverage: estimating, scheduling, execution, procurement and cost reporting are brought together for teams coordinating multiple stages of a build.
Live cost comparison: reports compare estimates with actual execution costs in real time, supporting budget oversight while work is underway.
Full-feature trial: 14 days without a credit card lets buyers evaluate the wider product before paying.
Multiple integration paths: named accounting connections and a REST API offer options for firms connecting project data to other systems.

Cons

User costs can escalate: Basic includes only two users and charges 64 USD / month for each additional user; added-user rates are higher on Business and Premium.
Important integrations are optional or tiered: accounting connections and API services may add cost, while Enterprise integrations require custom pricing.
Cloud access depends on connectivity: the web application requires an internet connection, limiting its fit for teams that need reliable offline use.
Cancellation has a short data-retention window: data is deleted one week after cancellation, so subscribers need to download backups before ending service.

Alternatives

Buildxact is worth considering for buyers who want a free entry point: its Go plan is free and includes five complimentary credits, AI estimating, professional proposals and Home Depot material ordering.

Houzz may suit users seeking a free starting plan with a 3D Floor Planner, estimates and invoicing rather than BrickControl’s broader construction-cycle scope.

Trimble Viewpoint Vista is an option for organizations that want to compare cloud-hosted and on-premises deployment choices.

BuildBook is another construction-software option for readers comparing products in this category.

PlanRadar may appeal to a buyer prioritizing a lower per-user starting price: its Basic plan is 32.00 USD per month per user, with a maximum of one user and 10 digital plans.

Fieldwire is a better fit for teams that can work within a free tier capped at five users, three projects and 100 sheets.

Projectmates is an alternative for buyers evaluating a dedicated private-cloud site license with 40 user licenses, priced at 39500.00 USD per year.

Causeway Construction Software is another paid construction-software option, with pricing handled through a requirements discussion and demonstration.

Verdict

Choose BrickControl if your construction business wants estimating, purchasing, execution tracking and real-time cost comparison under one roof, and its user-based monthly pricing fits your team. Its all-feature trial is a low-friction way to assess that breadth. Look elsewhere if you need ongoing free access, predictable costs for a larger team, or an offline-first workflow.
