In their own words
BriefCatch
BriefCatch is a legal writing platform for editing documents and checking citations and cited authorities. Its writing assistant provides tailored edits for briefs, memos and client work. RealityCheck checks whether cited authorities exist and support a brief’s propositions, quotations and pincites; CiteCheck reviews citation formatting, accuracy and consistency. BriefChat handles legal writing questions, wording brainstorms and AI drafting assistance. The tools are available through a Microsoft Word add-in, while a browser app provides BriefCatch and RealityCheck without requiring Word. An Outlook add-in offers email editing for Pro and Enterprise plans. Google Drive and OneDrive documents can be used in the workflow. The service runs on macOS, Windows and the web. BriefCatch says document text is processed in RAM and promptly cleared, with no storage, retention or use of customer documents or text; it also cites SOC 2 certification, AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit. Individual costs $60 a year, billed annually, with one seat and 650 monthly credits. Pro costs $75 a year, billed annually, with a five-seat minimum and 700 credits per seat monthly. Credits reset monthly and do not roll over.
DocJuris
DocJuris provides AI applications for contract review, redlining, legal operations, compliance, procurement, and other in-house legal work. Its Contract Review & Redlining app creates a first-pass redline and screening report for third-party paper, returning Word files with tracked changes, comments, and formatting intact. The web platform and API accept PDF or Word documents; the API can return redlined drafts to a contract system. DocJuris connects with Microsoft Word, SharePoint, Salesforce, Google Drive, OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, Asana, Trello, Jira, monday.com, ClickUp, Typeform, Microsoft Forms, and Google Forms. Zapier and Microsoft Power Automate provide connections to more than 3,500 apps. The platform supports approval workflows, obligation tracking, renewal alerts, and SSO through SAML or OpenID Connect. PDF uploads are supported, though .docx is recommended. Email agents provide screening, markup, and exception-table outputs without plugins or downloads, and are free for several professional groups. DocJuris says customer data is not used to train AI models and that it is SOC 2 Type II certified. A free plan is listed; paid pricing is on request.
