In their own words
Brisk Teaching
Brisk Teaching helps educators create materials, give feedback, and adapt instruction within tools they already use. Its tools cover lesson and unit planning, practice tests, guided notes, translation, feedback, and student learning activities. Brisk Boost can turn articles, YouTube videos, Google Docs, and PDFs into student activities, with settings for grade level, language, guardrails, and learning objectives. The service is available on the web and as a browser extension supported by Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Listed integrations and supported tools include Google Docs, Slides, Forms, Classroom, YouTube, Microsoft tools, Canvas, Schoology, Blackboard, Kahoot!, and Nearpod. The Free plan includes 20+ tools, and new sign-ups receive 14 days of Premium access. Premium and Intelligence customers receive customer success support, onboarding, and professional learning; Intelligence also includes white-glove curriculum setup. Brisk says it does not sell or share personal data or use student or teacher data to train AI models. It also reports SOC 2 Type II compliance and encryption in transit and at rest. AI-generated math content has limitations the company says it is working to improve.
CK-12 FlexBook 2.0
CK-12 FlexBook 2.0 provides customizable digital textbooks for K–12 subjects including science, math, and social studies. Lessons can combine text with PLIX interactives, simulations, adaptive practice, and related learning materials. Adaptive Practice draws questions from a library of more than 150,000 and adjusts selections based on student answers. Teachers can assign lessons, videos, interactives, and practice to whole classes or differentiated groups, then view progress reports. Educators can reorder chapters and edit or add content in customized FlexBooks. The service works in browsers on laptops, desktops, Chromebooks, tablets, and mobile devices, and is listed at free. Standalone Simulations and PLIX Interactives require a tablet-size screen or larger. Users may download PDFs of FlexBooks they create or customize, though interactive content may not render; CK-12-created PDFs are not downloadable. CK-12 says it is still converting all core content to FlexBook 2.0. Listed SSO or LMS partners include Google Classroom, Canvas, Schoology, Kiddom, Clever, and ClassLink.
