In their own words
British Sign
British Sign provides an online British Sign Language course alongside free reference and practice materials. Its introductory self-study course has ten sections and takes about 20 hours, combining video demonstrations with assessments. Learners can replay videos at half speed and retake end-of-section assessments for free; the pass mark is 85%. Course and assessment access lasts two years from the learner’s first login. Completion provides a CPD-certified certificate with a unique verification code, but the course is not a regulated BSL qualification and does not assess the learner’s own signing. Free resources include a dictionary with sign videos, a fingerspelling player, quizzes, games and printable learning materials. The course works in desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile browsers. Group enrolment gives each learner an individual login, progress record and certificate, while the purchaser manages enrolments through a dashboard. Individuals can pay by card; organisations can pay by invoice, bank transfer or purchase order. The introductory course is listed from £5, with no free trial.
