Claude in Chrome
Claude in Chrome is a browser extension for having Claude work with the pages and tools already open in Google Chrome. It can read pages, click, type, navigate and fill forms, and its side panel can summarize tabs, extract details and guide step-by-step site tasks. Background workflows can run while you focus elsewhere. Examples include work with Google Drive, calendars and email, Salesforce, promotional email cleanup and competitor research. A separate safety check reviews browser actions for risk and hidden site instructions; purchases, financial actions and other irreversible actions wait for your approval. Claude Code can build in a terminal while the extension verifies the result in a browser. The extension is available on paid Claude plans. Pro is $17/user/mo (annual), with the listed plan noting $200 billed up front; monthly billing is $20. It requires Google Chrome, not other Chromium-based browsers or mobile devices. Anthropic cautions that prompt-injection protections are not foolproof and advises against financial transactions, password management and sensitive personal-data workflows.
