In their own words
Bugzilla
Bugzilla is a self-hosted, web-based system for tracking defects, issues, enhancements, and other product change requests. It is free and open source, and runs on Linux, macOS, and Windows, with API access. Its search ranges from full-text queries to advanced searches, including time-based criteria. Users can choose which bug-change emails they receive, and scheduled search reports can be sent as often as every fifteen minutes. Reports can include tables and graphs, and can be exported as CSV. Administrators can tailor workflows, statuses, resolutions, and fields, then extend an installation with templates and extensions. Groups control who can view or edit bugs; an insider group can make comments and attachments private. Bugzilla supports XML-RPC and JSON-RPC services, several authentication methods, and MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle databases. Its Patch Viewer connects with LXR, CVS, and Bonsai. Support is community-based through mailing lists and chat rooms; the project does not directly provide commercial support.
FogBugz
FogBugz is a project management and issue tracking system for software development teams. Bugs, issues, and feature requests become cases that can be prioritized and assigned to one person. Scrum, Kanban, Scrumban, custom workflows, roadmaps, and time tracking are supported. Evidence-Based Scheduling uses historical timesheet data to produce probability distributions for ship dates. Unified search spans documents, wikis, articles, code, issues, bugs, and discussions. Built-in integrations include Slack, Twitter, GitHub, Google Drive, and Trello, while API endpoints support third-party and custom integrations. An integrated support desk captures bug reports, requests, and inquiries for automatic triage. FogBugz is available on the web and as an On-Premise version running on customer servers. On-Premise requires Microsoft IIS and Microsoft SQL Server and supports Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016, and 2019. SAML 2.0 single sign-on supports Okta, OneLogin, ADFS, and Azure AD. Paid plans include a 14-day trial and no free plan. Listed pricing is $75 a month monthly, $68 a month for one year, $64 a month for two years, and $62 a month for three years; each listed plan covers five users.
