In their own words
BukkitDev
BukkitDev is a catalog for browsing Minecraft server plugins, including Bukkit plugins. Visitors can browse project pages, filter by game version, and sort listings. Categories include administration, anti-griefing, chat, developer tools, economy, mechanics, teleportation, and world management; example projects include an in-game map editor, voice chat, custom villager shops, and world management tools. Bukkit itself is free, open-source software for extending and controlling Minecraft multiplayer servers. The site directs creators to CurseForge publishing and documentation resources. CurseForge’s API can support project management and retrieve details such as game versions and dependencies, while creators can automate uploads through a CI/CD pipeline. API use requires a reviewed application and an issued key, plus a generated token. Project owners can restrict third-party distribution of project information and files through the API. The directory lists version history, dependency metadata, reviews, and manual listing approval. CurseForge describes automated checks and manual review; questions about a project’s in-game behavior go to its author.
Voxel
Voxel is a Minecraft marketplace for server owners, plugin developers, setup designers, resource-pack artists, builders and other enthusiasts. Browsing and posting resources are described as completely free. Sellers can create shops where colleagues post or edit resources, respond to reviews and manage updates. The Developer API verifies purchases, searches resources, supports premium-resource auto-updaters and connects hosting control panels for downloads and updates. Authors can manage beta versions and testers and maintain recommended, snapshot and beta branches. Premium JAR files may be automatically obfuscated and fingerprinted per download, with piracy-prevention placeholders and offline verification. Depending on seller tier, integrations include Discord webhooks, Stripe, PayPal, Patreon, Google Analytics and external license servers. Seller plans are $2, paid once for Lite, $4, paid once for Plus and $8, paid once for Pro, billed from income earned on voxel.shop. Their upload limits are 100 MB, 200 MB and 400+ MB, with bump intervals of five days, 72 hours and 24 hours. Supported server platforms include Spigot, Paper, Velocity, BungeeCord and Purpur. Resources are archived after specified periods without qualifying updates.
