Overview

Bulsee brings attendance tracking, group administration, and member communication into one community platform. It is best suited to organizers of recurring groups who want those tasks together rather than a standalone roll call. The free plan and Android, iOS, and web access make it a practical option for groups that can work without family notifications.

Key features

Members can check in with one tap or by QR code, and organizers can record attendance for them. Absence and tardiness tracking, automated alerts, and reports on attendance rates and participation trends help organizers follow engagement over time. That breadth suits groups with recurring sessions; a group that only needs a basic sign-in record may not need the accompanying community tools. Family notifications are not included, which matters for programs that need to keep relatives informed.

Group owners can manage members and roles, approval requests, recurring schedules, event registration and cancellations, and capacity. Boards, announcements, posts, comments, and activity feeds support group-wide communication, while one-to-one text and image messaging provides a direct channel. Workout logs, challenges, quizzes, coach notes, membership passes, and push notifications extend the offering for fitness and activity-based communities. These extras make Bulsee more relevant to groups managing participation as well as attendance, but may be excess for a simple class register.

Google and Apple account sign-in are supported. Bulsee says it does not sell personal information and does not collect GPS or Wi-Fi location data, device contacts, or payment information. Its privacy policy describes encryption in transit using TLS/HTTPS, AWS RDS database encryption, and server-side encryption for uploaded images stored in AWS S3. Users can request account deletion in the app; account information and service usage records are deleted within 30 days. Support is offered in-app and by email, with a stated response time of 1–2 business days.

Pricing

Free to start: 0.00 USD per free. The free plan is the only plan described, making Bulsee a fit for groups seeking a no-cost starting point. No seat or usage cap is stated, so there is no basis to weigh a published quota against the plan’s breadth.

Platforms

Bulsee runs on Android, iOS, and the web. That combination gives members mobile check-in options while allowing access from a browser, without requiring the group to use a single device type.

Who it's for

The maker names academies and classes, study groups, clubs, workplace circles, and fitness classes as target groups. Bulsee is most compelling where organizers need attendance, recurring scheduling, member roles, and communication in the same service. It is less suitable for groups that depend on family notifications, or users under 14, who cannot register under the terms.

Pros and cons

Pros: Self check-in, QR check-in, and organizer-recorded attendance cover different group workflows.
Pros: Attendance reports sit alongside group scheduling, event capacity, and communication, reducing the need to separate those activities.
Pros: The free plan and Android, iOS, and web availability lower the commitment to get started.
Cons: There are no family notifications, limiting its fit for programs that need family-facing updates.
Cons: The 14-year minimum age rules out younger members registering for themselves.
Cons: Its community and activity features may be unnecessary overhead for organizations that only need attendance capture.

Verdict

Choose Bulsee if you organize a recurring class, club, study group, workplace circle, or fitness community and want attendance, group operations, and member communication together at no cost. Its main advantage is that it treats attendance as part of group management rather than an isolated sign-in task. Look elsewhere if family notifications are essential, if members under 14 need accounts, or if a basic attendance-only tool better matches your needs.
