BungeePerms vs EditionPerms

BungeePerms is a free, self-hosted permissions plugin for managing access across a Minecraft server network. It replaces the built-in permissions systems of BungeeCord and Spigot with one system. The project describes support for BungeeCord, Waterfall, and Velocity proxies, as well as Spigot and Paper/PaperSpigot servers. Administrators can organize permissions into groups, set inheritance and group ladders, and assign timed permissions or groups with promotion and demotion. Permissions can be limited to particular servers and worlds. In-game tools provide permission checks and user and group listings and management. Users and groups can also have prefixes, suffixes, and display names. Storage options are MySQL and YAML; UUID support and regex permissions are optional. The repository identifies the project as GPL-3.0 licensed and links to development builds and a Maven repository for BungeePerms 4. Its README points users to Discord for questions and a wiki for more information. Prefixes need a chat plugin that supports Vault; Essentials Chat is noted as supported.
