In their own words

bupaR

bupaR is a free, open-source suite of R packages for working with business process data. It supports importing and preparing event data, calculating descriptive statistics, visualising processes, and checking conformance. Analysts can examine control flow, performance, and organisational aspects, while including custom process attributes in their workflow. It handles event logs, where each row represents an event, and activity logs, where each row represents an activity instance. Process maps help summarise processes and can be used in Shiny apps or exported to PDF, PNG, PS, or EPS. The bupaverse core contains bupaR, edeaR, eventdataR, processcheckR, and processmapR. The xesreadR package reads XES files from a local path or URL and writes event logs to XES. Installation instructions cover CRAN and GitHub development versions. The package requires R 3.5.0 or later and is licensed under MIT plus a license file. For prediction with processpredictR, Python, TensorFlow, and Keras are required. Validation of larger event logs can take time, though the documentation allows it to be disabled when the data meets requirements.

ProDiscovery

ProDiscovery analyzes process records, customer behavior, and other digital traces to map and simulate business processes. It accepts long-form logs with Case, Activity, and Timestamp columns, supplied in CSV or TXT files or imported from databases. The product analyzes collected data rather than collecting event logs itself. Its process analysis includes BPMN models, more than 30 chart types, process comparisons, and a customizable interface. Funnel analysis tracks conversion, drop-off points, and time by customer-journey stage; Variant Flow Analysis uses Sankey charts to show flow direction, size, and sequence relationships. Predictive monitoring applies AI and machine-learning models to process and real-time data to estimate flows, remaining time, delays, and anomalies. PiDi can summarize analysis, explain chart insights in natural language, and suggest visualizations or database queries through chat. ProDiscovery is web-based, supports Windows and macOS through compatible browsers, and is also offered on-premise. Cloud and on-premise pricing are available by inquiry; trial applications are manually reviewed and may take time.
