Overview

Roofr brings a job board, customer communications, automations, invoicing, and material ordering into a roofing CRM. Custom proposals and an Instant Estimator link sales activity to the job board, while scheduling and billing functions extend the workflow beyond estimating. That breadth suits contractors consolidating sales and operations; a business that only needs roof reports may be paying for more system than it needs.

Key features

Measurement reports cover details such as total squares, pitch, and edges. Reports are pay-as-you-go, with no bulk packages. That keeps occasional measurement demand flexible, but frequent users should budget for each report: Starter reports are $19 with delivery in 24 hours or less, while Measure+ reports are $13 each. Measure+ also includes material calculations, a waste factor, CSV downloads, and ESX files for $10 USD per report, with guaranteed delivery in 2 or 6 hours.

The proposal builder supports custom materials and pricing and unlimited e-signatures on Essentials and Scale. Starter includes 10 trial proposals, invoices, and work orders; Essentials removes that constraint and adds credit card and ACH payments. The Instant Estimator gives homeowners estimates using a contractor’s own pricing and sends job details to the job board, making it useful for turning estimates into tracked work.

Integrations include Google Calendar, Gmail, CompanyCam, Zapier, and suppliers ABC Supply, QXO, and SRS Roofhub. QuickBooks integration is in beta, restricted to U.S. businesses, and does not support QuickBooks Desktop. Roofr works on modern iOS and Android devices through a browser rather than a separate app download. Support is offered by chat, phone, or email seven days a week; paid subscribers can also receive unlimited onboarding calls and a dedicated account manager.

Pricing

Starter is free and includes one basic job board, five automated actions, and unlimited users, alongside the 10 trial proposals, invoices, and work orders. It is a sensible way for a contractor to start organizing jobs without a subscription, but the trial allowance makes it a limited long-term sales and billing setup. Measurement reports cost $19 each.

Measure+ costs $109/mo billed monthly or $209/mo billed yearly. It is aimed at businesses whose priority is faster, more detailed measurement and material calculations, not a full proposal-and-invoicing workflow. Reports cost $13 each, ESX files cost $10 USD per report, and users are unlimited.

Essentials costs $249/mo billed monthly or $209/mo billed yearly. It fits teams needing a flexible job board, unlimited proposals, invoices, and work orders, plus payments and unlimited e-signatures. Ten automated actions may be restrictive for businesses relying on extensive workflow automation.

Scale costs $349/mo billed monthly or $299/mo billed yearly. Seven customizable job boards, crew management, 25+ automated actions, a performance dashboard, job costs, QuickBooks integration, role-based permissions, and unlimited users make it the clearest fit for larger or more structured operations. Measurement reports remain separately priced. All listed paid plans have unlimited users, so the meaningful differences are workflow capacity and management tools, not seat counts.

Platforms

Roofr is available on the web and works in a browser on modern iOS and Android devices. Contractors can use mobile devices without a separate App Store or Google Play download.

Who it's for

Roofr best fits roofing contractors who want one system to connect measurements, proposals, customer follow-up, job tracking, and billing, with plans that can serve a solo operator or a larger team. Variable measurement demand can work well with pay-as-you-go reports; high-volume users should weigh the recurring per-report cost. It is a weaker fit for buyers seeking a dedicated measurement tool or a desktop-native mobile app.

Pros and cons

Pros: A free plan with unlimited users gives contractors a low-cost entry point for a basic job board.
Pros: Proposals, e-signatures, homeowner estimates, scheduling, invoicing, and payments support a connected sales-to-operations workflow.
Pros: Scale adds crew management, multiple customizable boards, job costs, and role permissions for more complex teams.
Cons: Measurement reports cost per report, with no bulk package, so frequent use adds ongoing expense.
Cons: Starter limits proposals, invoices, and work orders to 10 trial items and automations to five.
Cons: QuickBooks is beta, U.S.-only, and excludes QuickBooks Desktop.

Alternatives

Roofing Software is the broader category for comparing roofing platforms. Contractors who want measurements without committing to a wider CRM may prefer Instant Roofer, which has a free plan with unlimited basic measurements and charges for premium report details. HiveSuite is a paid option with a free trial and a Solo plan at 34.99 GBP per month, billed monthly, including VAT, for one admin and two crew. Business Pilot is another paid option with a free trial and a monthly site license described for service engineers and installers.

Roof Manager offers a free trial with two full reports and CRM, invoicing, and proposals, a fit for contractors who want to assess that workflow before buying. Leap starts at $79.00 USD per month on a one-year contract paid monthly, but its Essential plan is limited to one user and five digital signatures. StormProof offers report-focused plans, including 20 reports per month for one user at $29.99 USD per month. JobNimbus is a paid alternative with a free trial and plans organized around project boards, automations, and user limits. For contractors who want no per-report fees, RidgeSync costs $149.00 USD per month and includes unlimited users, leads, jobs, quotes, and measurements, with a 30-day free trial.

Verdict

Roofr is a strong choice for roofing contractors who want measurement, sales, job management, and billing in a connected system, especially teams that can begin on Starter and move up as their workflow grows. Its main trade-off is recurring measurement cost alongside paid plans that quickly become substantial; contractors who primarily need reports or want predictable measurement pricing should compare specialist alternatives.
