In their own words

Byteplant Address Validator

Byteplant Address Validator checks postal addresses against reference data to assess deliverability and suggest corrections. It checks street, house number, postal code, and city combinations for validity and formatting, with coverage across more than 240 countries and territories. Its APIs provide autocomplete suggestions from freeform searches, geocoding, duplicate identification, and asynchronous bulk verification for up to 100,000 addresses in one request. Rooftop-accurate coordinates are available when geocoding is enabled. A free account includes 100 checks and corrections without payment details or an automatic subscription, and a free trial is listed. Credits purchased through pay-as-you-go do not expire; monthly subscriptions add credits automatically and unused credits roll over. Address checks use 1.0, 2.5, or 5.0 credits according to region, with additional credits for geocoding. Integrations include Zapier, plugins for WordPress, jQuery, and Node.js, plus CRM and e-commerce systems. Byteplant says data stays in the EU and personally identifiable end-user information is deleted within 14 days. It states a 99.9% availability guarantee and typical API responses within 125 milliseconds. The service cannot determine whether a person has moved; an existing former address may still validate.

UPU POST*CODE API

UPU POST*CODE API verifies international addresses using official locality names and postcode data from UPU member countries. Its checks cover a country’s postcode format, whether a postcode matches a locality, postcodes associated with a locality, and localities associated with a postcode. LocalityLike suggests official locality names and postal regions from the beginning of a partial locality input. The API is intended for designated postal operators, businesses, and individuals handling international addresses, including customs declarations, web shops, user platforms, and ERP systems. It can run as a CDS plugin, through the CDS API gateway or other middleware, or inside postal websites and local applications. Development guidance covers HTML, web applications, JavaScript form handling, and sample code for jQuery and Python. Documentation includes tutorials, quick-start guides, and developer tooling. UPU says response time is under one second and performance can be adjusted to expected call volume. Pricing is on request, with a free trial available by contacting UPU.
