Overview

Caddyio combines golf-club booking and member management with scoring, competitions, coaching and course operations. It suits clubs that want a branded member experience and a free, commission-free tee sheet; it is less suitable for clubs that need online green-fee payments or broad links to club systems.

The core booking offer is unusually open-ended: the Free plan allows unlimited members, visitors and bookings. Paid tiers add capacity and tournament headroom, but the free core makes Caddyio worth considering even for clubs that do not need its wider toolkit.

For other booking options, see Golf Tee Time Booking Software.

Key features

Booking and member experience

Caddyio provides tee-sheet management, online booking, a booking widget and API. Green fees can be recorded, but golfers settle them at the counter: clubs seeking a single system to take online green-fee payments will need another solution. Members can use the platform free of charge, with no advertising, and clubs can give them a white-label area with club branding and a custom domain.

Scoring and course operations

Members enter scores hole by hole, with net scores and Stableford points calculated under World Handicap System rules. Caddyio also calculates an indicative Handicap Index, but it does not sync with union handicap systems; the union-connected provider remains the official record. That distinction matters for clubs and golfers who need an authoritative handicap record rather than an in-app estimate.

On-course tools include a live GPS clubhouse wallboard, pace-of-play tracking, service requests and member reports on course conditions. Together they extend the platform beyond reservations, although clubs should weigh that breadth against its limited connections to other operational software.

Payments, integrations and privacy

Stripe Connect can handle membership dues and member-purse top-ups when enabled, but not green-fee settlement. Caddyio's live integrations include the UK Golf Course Data directory, Resend transactional email, Web Push, its REST API and embed SDK. It does not integrate with EPOS or till systems, range-ball dispensers, union handicap systems, tee-time marketplaces or accounting software. Those exclusions are material for clubs that rely on connected tills, financial tools or external booking channels.

Caddyio says it does not sell personal data and allows users to request access, correction or deletion. GPS location is collected during a live round only while a member is actively scoring. Browser-based Web Push works on Android and desktop, and on iOS when a member adds the app to the home screen; an optional native Android app is also offered.

Pricing

The Free plan costs £0 / month, forever. It includes unlimited members, visitors and bookings, tee-sheet management, online booking, a booking widget and API, with no booking commission. It is a strong fit for clubs that need reservations and fee recording but can settle green fees at the counter and stay within the free tier's scope.

Starter is from £99/month and includes Free, up to 300 members, one course and four tournaments per year. It suits a single-course club with a defined membership and modest competition calendar; the caps are a real constraint for larger clubs or those running frequent tournaments.

Club is priced on enquiry and supports up to two courses, 1,500 members and unlimited tournaments. Pro is also priced on enquiry, with unlimited courses and members, advanced analytics, priority support and onboarding. Club fits growing multi-course operations that need more tournament capacity, while Pro is aimed at larger organizations that need uncapped scale and a higher-touch service. There is no setup fee. Caddyio offers no free trial, so clubs should assess the paid tier they need before committing.

Platforms

Caddyio supports web, iOS, Android and an API. iOS members can receive browser-based push notifications after adding the app to their home screen; clubs wanting a native app option should note that the optional native app is Android-only.

Who it's for

Caddyio is best for clubs that want to put booking, member access, scoring and practical course tools under one branded roof, while keeping core tee-sheet booking free. It is a weaker fit for clubs that require online green-fee collection, official union handicap synchronization, or integrations with tills, accounting software and booking marketplaces.

Pros and cons

Free booking without volume caps or commission: unlimited members, visitors and bookings make the core useful without a per-booking charge.
A broader club toolkit: scoring, course-operations tools and a branded member area extend its reach beyond a basic tee sheet.
Green fees are not paid online: recording them does not remove counter settlement from the process.
Important integration gaps: no EPOS, accounting, marketplace or union-handicap connection limits how well it can fit into an established club stack.
Paid plans impose meaningful limits: Starter caps members, courses and tournaments, while Club and Pro require an enquiry for pricing.

Alternatives

ReadyGolf is worth considering for clubs whose golfers want a free app for booking, play, scoring, competitions and leaderboards; clubs set the prices for their own products and services.

ITG.golf may suit buyers who prefer a paid product with a free trial and are willing to arrange a demo for pricing.

Supreme Golf for Courses is an alternative for courses interested in free basic listings and tee-time distribution, with a 2.9% processing fee on prepaid marketplace bookings.

Links Meridian is another option for clubs comparing paid management software.

Club Caddie is an alternative for buyers seeking a paid golf-management product with pricing handled directly through the vendor.

BRS Golf is another paid option for clubs prepared to request a demo and pricing.

Verdict

Choose Caddyio if your club wants free, unlimited core booking alongside a branded member area and useful scoring and course tools. Look elsewhere if online green-fee payments or connections to your till, accounting, marketplace or official handicap system are essential.
