In their own words
Cadensa
Cadensa automates cash application by processing bank files and remittance advice, matching payment details to invoices and flagging exceptions for review. It accepts BAI2 and other bank statement formats, including MT940 in an example workflow. Remittance information can come from email, PDFs, spreadsheets or scanned advice; its AI extracts invoice numbers, amounts and payer details without customer-specific templates. Exceptions can include candidate matches and confidence scores, and the system learns from corrections. For factoring workflows, it handles payments spanning multiple schedules, partial payments against advances and matching across client portfolios. Its audit trail records who matched a payment, what was matched, when it happened and the originating bank line. QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop are available accounting integrations; Sage and NetSuite are listed as coming soon. Other available connections include email services, storage, FTP/SFTP, a REST API and webhooks. The maker states that data is encrypted in transit and at rest, access is role-based and access is logged. SOC 2 compliance is in progress. Pricing is on request.
Ledge Cash Application
Ledge Cash Application matches payments from banks, payment processors, and remittance files to invoices and an ERP. AI and rules handle partial or unclear references, including payments that map to several invoices or several payments that map to one invoice. It extracts remittance details from PDFs, emails, and shared inboxes, and suggests responses to short pays, overpays, and other exceptions. Matched payments can be posted to the general ledger with audit context; matches and records remain in an audit trail. Unmatched payments are flagged with transaction details and possible matches rather than forced or skipped. Ledge describes processing as daily and continuous, not a monthly batch. Named processors include Stripe, Adyen, PayPal, Braintree, ConexPay, EBANX, GoCardless, and Checkout; it also says it connects to more than 11,000 banks worldwide. Accounting integrations include NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP S/4HANA, Sage Intacct, Xero, and Microsoft Dynamics 365. The service is web-based, supports multi-currency, and pricing is on request. Ledge says the first automated cycle runs within two weeks of setup.
