In their own words
Calico Enterprise
Calico Enterprise is a self-managed platform for network security and observability in Kubernetes clusters. It provides pod-to-pod networking within single clusters and across multiple clusters, with data-plane options including eBPF, nftables, iptables, Windows, and VPP. Cluster mesh connects clusters for pod communication and service discovery, while supporting policy enforcement and traffic visibility. Security controls include network- and application-layer policies, DNS policies, egress controls, and workload microsegmentation. It also provides workload-level IDS/IPS, a workload-focused WAF, and DDoS detection and prevention. For observability, Calico combines flow logs with Kubernetes context and offers network topology views, dashboards, alerts, and workload packet capture. Tigera lists support for PCI DSS, HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2, NIST, CCPA, and custom compliance frameworks, along with continuous monitoring and audit-ready reports. Policy deployment can integrate with CI/CD tools such as ArgoCD and Jenkins. The product supports hybrid deployment and centralized control, with BGP, IP-in-IP, VXLAN, WireGuard, TCP, UDP, SCTP, ICMP, ICMPv6, and HTTP listed as supported protocols.
Cloudanix
Cloudanix is a CNAPP that connects code security, cloud posture, workload protection, cloud identity, and just-in-time access in a shared security graph. Its cloud coverage includes AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI. Code security includes SAST, SCA, secrets scanning, IaC, and CI security; access features include CIEM and time-bound JIT access for cloud, databases, virtual machines, Kubernetes, and AI agents. Its database activity monitoring offering provides real-time masking, query prevention, and audit trails for cloud or on-premises databases. Cloud accounts connect through read-only APIs without agents, and Cloudanix advertises 30-minute onboarding. The company says its SaaS control plane stores configuration metadata rather than customer data or secrets, and that application-level encryption uses AES-256 GCM. Deployment options include regional SaaS tenants in the US, EU, India, and Middle East, or CloudPrem inside a customer's VPC. Paid plans start at $3.49 a month per monitored asset, with a 100-asset minimum for Cloud Pro Posture. Other listed Pro plans have minimums, and Enterprise prices are custom.
