CallSign

CallSign is group chat with AI for gaming and spending time with friends over voice, video, or text. Its Free plan includes servers, channels, direct messages, and voice channels, plus what the service calls “Always-on safety.” File uploads are limited to 25 MB on Free, 50 MB on Pro Basic, and 500 MB on Pro. Screen sharing is listed at 720p on Free, 1080p on Pro Basic, and 4K/60fps on Pro. The Pro page lists an AI assistant, summaries, voice transcription, and semantic search across messages. Pro also includes animated avatars and custom profile themes; custom emoji and stickers are included with Pro Basic and Pro. CallSign is available on Android, iOS, web, Windows, macOS, and Linux. Free costs nothing. Pro Basic is $2.99 a month or 29.99 USD yearly; Pro is $19.99 a month or 199.99 USD yearly. PlayStation and Xbox are listed as coming soon. A Public Test Build is available for trying features before launch and reporting bugs.

Sloga

Sloga is a free chat app for gaming communities, with servers, channels, roles, voice, video, and screen sharing. Communities can also use events, threads, forums, announcement channels, and Discover listings, while automatic real-time translation is available in every channel. Messages and attachments support end-to-end encryption; calls are encrypted in the Windows, Linux, and Android apps, but not yet in the Mac app. Call transcription runs on the user's device on Windows, Android, and the web, with Linux support forthcoming. Discord server templates can be imported to recreate categories, channels, roles, and permissions without linking a Discord account. Attachments can reach 5GB, though files over 20MB are deleted 24 hours after sending. Voice servers are listed in the United States, São Paulo, and Singapore; the app selects the fastest region unless a server owner pins one. Watch parties work with YouTube and Jellyfin, synchronizing playback while each participant uses their own copy. Sloga has browser, Windows, macOS, Linux, and Android apps; iOS is listed as coming soon. Its web and mobile clients, server, and shared client libraries are AGPL-3.0, while desktop encryption components remain private. The service is hosted and costs nothing, with no subscription required.
