Showfoto

Showfoto is a stand-alone version of the digiKam Image Editor for editing and processing local image files. Its tools cover colors, effects, transforms, decoration, enhancement and RAW import, with support for masking and batch editing. The Folders tab navigates directory hierarchies and loads images from local storage. Showfoto can process batches, although it does not include digiKam’s Batch Queue Manager. Compatible plugins include Time Adjust, Print Wizard, Metadata Editor and HTML Gallery, and web-service tools can export items to services such as Flickr or Google. A stand-alone DNG Converter can convert proprietary RAW containers to Digital Negative format. Showfoto is free and available for Linux, Windows and macOS; listed packages include Linux AppImage, Windows 10 or later, and macOS builds for Apple Silicon and Intel. It has no database, so it does not support image versioning. The digiKam project says photos, metadata and settings remain on the device, with no tracking, analytics or telemetry. It also says its AI tools run locally.
