In their own words
CardAction
CardAction is an Android and iOS app that turns business cards into contact records using on-device AI. Its OCR extracts names, email addresses, phone numbers, job titles, and company details, and it can process a stack of cards in one session. Contacts can be organized into smart folders by event, company, or another category. From a scanned record, users can start a WhatsApp message, call, email, or SMS. The app exports vCard files, creates vCard 4.0 QR codes for sharing, and syncs contacts to Google Sheets or sends them through webhooks to Zapier, Make, HubSpot, or a personal API. The maker says scanning works without internet, data remains on the device, and external syncing occurs when online. The free plan costs nothing, allows three scans daily and one folder, and limits each Pro feature to three uses weekly. Pro costs $4.99 a month and adds unlimited scans, batch scanning, folders, integrations, and priority support.
KardBlink
KardBlink is a mobile business card reader that uses OCR to turn card photographs into searchable contacts. It captures names, company names, phone numbers, email addresses, and mailing addresses, saves them on a phone, and synchronizes them with a company’s centralized CRM. Contacts can also sync with a phone address book, Google Contacts, and company directories. Users can organize records with event, industry, or custom tags and search by name, company, or keyword. A gallery of scanned cards provides a virtual Rolodex. For teams, KardBlink offers an MIS dashboard to track scans, while managers can generate reports and monitor networking activity. The maker lists private-cloud or on-premise deployment, role-based access, audit logs, end-to-end encryption, and multi-layer authentication. It describes the product as aligned with India’s DPDP Act 2023. KardBlink supports Android, iOS, web, API, and self-hosted use. The Android and iOS scanner app is free, and the maker offers a free demo. It is positioned for individuals and organizations, especially sales and marketing teams collecting card leads.
